Introduction   Koinonia Bible College is an exciting new concept in higher Christian education. Our goal is to provide training in the ministry by offering a wide selection of courses designed to prepare the student for practical Christian service. Our approach to education is

unique in that we offer the students the skills of pastors and teachers from many different churches. In this way, the student can remain in his or her local body and still be exposed to the gifts of a wide variety of experienced ministers. Our instructors are carefully selected for their area of expertise as well as their spiritual commitment and knowledge of the Word of God. Koinonia Bible College began in the Fall of 1991, with a vision to provide quality biblical education to the Christians in the city of New Orleans. Our desire was to be accessible and affordable, yet without compromising the depth of teaching. The vision involved seeing something like a loaf of bread, being broken and distributed through the college, and each piece being taken back to the local churches to feed others. Therefore, Koinonia is designed to allow the students to be educated, without having to transfer local membership. Koinonia is the Greek work for fellowship. We feel that this word best describes the philosophy of our school: to strengthen the body of Christ by utilizing each believer’s gift to the edification of all. The motto of our school is: Equipping the Saints for Ministry. Our success is gauged by the reports we get from our students; they take the information gained here and apply it to their own areas of ministry, resulting in the changed lives of those to whom they minister. In keeping with the concept of “a loaf of bread to be shared”, Koinonia has developed correspondence courses. This will allow the student even greater flexibility in pursuing biblical studies. Through our web page, orders are being placed and catalogs requested from all over the country, even the world. We invite you to visit our site on the Internet. The address is www.kbc.org. We are also accredited with the largest non-governmental agency in the world – Accrediting Commission International (501) 882-3361. We accept transcripts from any college accredited with ACI. This catalog will describe the courses we offer, explain the degree programs available, along with the classes required for each degree program, and provide information on our correspondence courses. If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to call us at (504) 340-6739, or send us a fax at (504) 328-1817. You may also send e-mail to [email protected]. We hope that you will plan on becoming a part of our fast-growing student body.
