    BOARD LEVEL PARTICIPATION Govrn. of India introduced a scheme of workers rep. on

    B.O.D of selected public sector enterprise.

    In most cases, the worker representative have been unable

    to make any significant contribution in the process ofdecision making as they often found their role as trade

    unions in conflict with that as boards members.

    It is introduce in rajyasabha on the 30 th may, 1990. this

    was the first comprehensive legisletive efforts towards the

    promotion of worker participation in mgmt.. In the

    country.

    Objective

    It provides for specific and meaningful participation of

    workers in mgmt. at shop floor level. It provide for rules to specify the power and inspector

    may exercise the number of member on the monitoring

    committee.
