Deatailed Guideline:
1. Working on back side of bag, we are going to create a V-‐shape of flowers. Place a Heart Flower close to top left, and a Summer Day Flower at center bottom. Make a Bullion Petal Flower and on last row attach to top left of the Summer Day Flower at the center bottom of bag. (Photo P1)

2. Make another Bullion Petal Flower attaching to the Bullion Petal Flower from step 1 and the Heart Flower. (Photo P2)

3. Then make a Popcorn Flower attaching to top right of the Summer Day Flower at bottom of bag and to the Summer Day Flower that wraps around from the front at the top right corner. “V-‐shape” is formed. (Photo P3)

4. Working at the top left of the “V-‐shape,” join yarn in the sc behind the Bullion Petal Flower near to where it is attached to the Heart Flower. Ch 1, working around the Heart Flower, sk 1 st, *dc in the next st, ch 1, sk 1 st* repeat from * to* around the Heart Flower, joining as you work to the top band and wrapping around the left side, join to the Summer Day Flower from front of bag. When you reach the Bullion Petal Flower join with a sl st to the sc of that flower just before they join, fasten off.
This creates a side and new corner for the bag. (Photos P4 & 5)

5. Make a Spiral
Note: The sc are worked into the third back loop/hump loop, which lies below the top of the sts.
Around Spiral: Start with a standing sc in the third back loop of 3rd dc, Ch 3, sk 1 st, *sc in the next third back loop, ch 3, sk 1 st* repeat around Spiral until 2nd last tr, join to the top band with sl st. Starting around post from last tr made on Spiral join the top band and Spiral together with surface sts ending at the 3rd dc on spiral, sl st in the standing sc worked at the beginning.
6. Sl st into first ch3 sp, ch3 (counts as 1st dc), 4 dc in the same ch3-‐sp and finish as a popcorn stitch. Ch 3, *popcorn in the next ch3-‐sp, ch 3* around, joining to the Summer Day Flower at top right of “V-‐shape” as you work around the Spiral. Join with sl st to the top band of the bag. Work a few chains and join to the Bullion Flower on the side of bag (which is attached to the outer rounds of front Spiral), fasten off.

7. Join more of the Heart Flower to the top band with chains and sl sts ending onto dc on the Heart Flower edging. Ch 5, sk 2 stitches on the top band, sl st to the next and work 6 surface sts along top band, fasten off. Join yarn with sl st into the ch5-‐sp and ch 5. Work a double bullion st (10 yo, first and last yo around both the third and second ch1-‐sps from
edging of Heart Flower and ch 5), work 4 double bullion sts more into the ch5-‐sp, join with sl st to the last surface st on the top, fasten off. (Photo P7)

8. With wrong side facing, counting from top of bag, attach yarn in ch3-‐sp between 9th and 10th popcorn on outer edge of spiral, ch3, 3 dc in same space. 4 dc in each of next 8 spaces, join to the top piece with sl st. Ch 1, turn. (9 x 4dc groups)
9. *Sc in next dc. Ch 5, sc in second chain from hook, hdc in next, dc in next 2 sts, skip one dc from step 8, sc in next st * 11 more times. Join to the Summer Day Flower with sl st. Fasten off (12 petals).
10. With wrong side facing, join yarn in dc of step 8 which is the skipped dc under the petal from step 9 (near the Summer Day Flower). Ch1, sc in same stitch as ch 1. Ch 3, sc in next skipped stitch under the petals of step 9, *ch3, sc in next skipped stitch*across to the top band, ch3 join with a sl st, to the top band. Ch 5, turn. (12 x ch3-‐sps)
Note: The following double bullion sts are all worked with a sl st into next space or same space, ch 5, 10 yo, sl st and pull through.
11. Work a double bullion st (with 10 yo, working the first and last yo around both the top and ch5), sl st into first ch-‐3 sp, ch 5 and work a double bullion stitch around ch 5, sl st into next ch3-‐sp, work a double bullion st, *sl st into next ch3-‐sp and work 2 double bullion sts in same sp, (sl st into next ch3-‐sp and work a double bullion st) twice* rep from *to* twice more, sl st into last ch3-‐sp and work 2 double bullion sts. (17 double bullion st). Join to side of the Summer Day Flower.
Using chains and sl sts, join the last 3 double bullion sts to the Popcorn Flower, fasten off. (P8)

(Steps 12-‐14 see P9)
12. Make a Bullion Petal Flower and join in the center top half of bag to the Heart Flower, bullion filler stitches and the added rows on the Spiral.
13. Make a Puff Flower (rnd 1-‐4 of Summer Day) and join to the 3 Bullion Petal Flowers and to the 8th and 9th bullion stitches around the Spiral.
14. Make another Spiral and attach to bottom of Heart Flower on left side of bag and wrap around the left side.

Hold the back of bag toward you. We will now work on the side of the bag to the left of the back of the box.

15. Make a Popcorn Flower and attach to lower left of the top Heart Flower and lower right of the Summer Day Flower that wraps around from the front of the bag and left of Spiral.
16. Add some slip stitches (if needed) to top of Spiral between Heart Flower and join to Popcorn Flower. As you get to the bottom of Popcorn Flower make a row of crab stitches in front loop only over to the Summer Day Flower.
17. (Ch2, sk 2, sc in BL (and third “hump” loop)) 10 times (on last 2 repeats sk 1 instead of 2), dc in Spiral right where Spiral and Popcorn Flower are joined (or the next st in Spiral), ch 2, sk1, sc in next, (ch 2, sk 2, sc in next) 3 times, (ch 2, sk 1, sc in next) 3 times, (ch 2, sk 2, sc in next) 4 times, the last sc falling in last stitch on Spiral, sl st to last space on Heart Flower beside the Bullion Petals Flower. Fasten off.
18. Attach yarn near beginning of step 17, 2 stitches higher on the Summer Day Flower. Ch 1. Puff stitch in first ch 2 sp of step 17. (Ch2, Puff in next ch space) 9 times.
19. Puff stitch in next ch sp. (Ch 2, Puff in next sp) 10 times. (You may need to add a few ch 3 instead of ch 2 around curve of spiral to help lay flat.) Ch 2, dc in same space on Heart Flower as at the end of step 17. Sl st to Bullion Petals Flowers. Fasten off.
20. Make a Bullion Petal Flower and attach to puff stitches on bottom of Spiral, wrapping it around to side of bag.
21. Make a Puff Flower, (rnd 1-‐4 of Summer Day Flower) attaching to bottom of Bullion Petal Flower.
22. Make a Bullion Petal Flower and attach to bottom left of the puffs around the Popcorn Flower, also attaching to a Bullion Petal Flower on the front of the bag.
23. Make a Double Bullion Flower and as you work attach between the Bullion Petal Flowers at the bottom of Popcorn Flower (with puffs) also attaching to the Puff Flower.

At bottom left side:
24. Make a Popcorn Flower and attach to bottom right of Spiral as well as center left Summer Day Flower.
25. Make another Bullion Petal Flower attaching to bottom of the center of the lower Summer Day Flower, wrapping slightly around bottom of bag.
26. Make a Double Bullion Flower. Place between the two Bullion Petal Flowers in lower left corner, attaching to them, to the bottom of the Popcorn Flower, as well as to the Puff Flower on the lower left side of bag.
