(CTS 10 MINUTE DIARY)

SIXTEENTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME READ: LUKE 10:38-42 MEDITATE Jesus likes to spend time with His friends and to be welcomes by families. One of these was Martha, Mary and Lazarus’s family. Jesus’s teaching in this Gospel highlights the attitude we should have: one of listening to the Word of God which will drive us to do everything else.

LET US PRAY

God of power, You created everything by your Word and sustain all things in being by the same Word.

Open my ears to listen to You and my heart to accept it so that everything I do may be to your greater glory. Amen

ACT Fine some quiet time as the holidays begin for many and sit down in prayer to listen to God.

THE VIGIL LAMPS WILL BURN THIS WEEK FOR:- Our Lady & St Illtyd Our Lady: Fr. Edmund Anniversary of Ordination Sacred Heart: Pat Umney RIP (PLG)

St. Cadoc Our Lady: Thanksgiving for Clare Sacred Heart:

Please pray for the following who request your prayers: Tom McNally, Francis Harris, Yvonne Harris, Maria Morgan, Elizabeth, Rosina Bruen,

Marianne Davey, Ray Cullinane, Ian Beverley, Joan Whitton, Gretta Cooper, Thea Boyd,

Maisie Moyes, Dick Barnicott, Nick McKenna, Nicole Price, Simon Stanton, Sue Stanton,

Dorothy Petersen, Shirley Garmston, Anne Hogg, Dina Richards, Fr. Tim, Ann Markey MAY THEY BE TOUCHED BY GOD’S HEALING HAND.

WHAT’S ON IN THE PARISH THIS WEEK? SUNDAY MASS: from TODAY until 7th/8th September we will sing four hymns and no other parts of the Liturgy as many of our parishioners may well be away. This is in line with the other Parishes in the Deanery. Thank you! Fr. Mark FILM NIGHT: Stan and Ollie to WEDNESDAY at 6pm in the Parish Centre. Please bring your family and friends for an enjoyable evening. The PRAYER GROUP will meet on THURSDAY at 2.30pm in Our Lady & St. Illtyd for Rosary, Divine Mercy Chaplet, Scripture Reading, Prayer and Intercessions.

GRATITUDE

SINCERE GRATITUDE once again to the Parish Ladies Guild for another successful Coffee Morning; an incredible £664.60 was raised for the development of the Parish. To everyone who purchased tickets, were present on the morning and made cakes; “thank you”, once again we were blessed with an array of cakes to sell on the Cake Stall which alone raised £118. Please see the photos on the website. Despite being a small group of ladies their commitment and dedication to raise extra funds for the development of the Parish is remarkable, however they do not wish to be an exclusive group and are actively seeking new members to continue the good work of building the body of Christ for future generations; please consider joining them and sharing your God given gifts and talents for the glory of God and the good of the Parish.
