FOODBANK The client demand throughout the Vale for the Foodbank has continued to increase. Please do consider supporting on a regular basis. One item a week, from half the families in our parish, would go a long way to keeping our shelves stocked up and help alleviate food poverty in our local communities throughout the Vale but especially in Llantwit Major and St Athan. At the moment we are running low on pasta sauces, jam, meat, peanut butter, lemon squash, men's toiletries, toilet paper and dog food.
Thank you and bless you for your ongoing support. Ewa Thomas

Reflection (Flor McCarthy, SDB) AT THE END OF THE DAY The Kingdom of Heaven is like a net cast into the sea which catches all kinds of fish. When it is full, the fisherman hauls it ashore. Then he sits down and sorts out the good fish from the bad. The good he keeps, the worthless he throws away. In a sense, all of us are fishers. Each day we cast our net into the sea of life. And at the end of the day we have a catch, sometimes small, sometimes large. May we take time to sift through that catch. And may you, Lord, give us the wisdom to know what to keep and what to throw away. THE VIGIL LAMPS WILL BURN THIS WEEK FOR:- Our Lady & St Illtyd Our Lady: Thea Boyd Special Intention Sacred Heart: Bertie Special Intention St. Cadoc Our Lady: Mike Carey Special Intention (PLG) Sacred Heart: Mike Carey Special Intention

During the German occupation of Rome in 1943, an athletic Irish priest, Monsignor Hugh O’Flaherty (Gregory Peck), devotes all the time he can spare from his work at the Vatican to hide Allied POWs from the Nazis, risking his life in the process. The PRAYER GROUP meets weekly on THURSDAY at 2.30pm in Our Lady & St. Illtyd for Rosary, Divine Mercy Chaplet, Scripture Reading, Prayer and Intercessions. EXPOSITION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT FOR ADORATION on FRIDAY from 10.00am to 6:30pm in Our Lady & St. Illtyd. MAINTENANCE The annual maintenance service of the SECURITY ALARM SYSTEM in Our Lady & St. Illtyd revealed some major faults and due to its age the parts are obsolete. An upgrade of the system has taken place, the code has been changed, however the fob can be used as previously. The key pads for the alarm system in the Parish Centre were also renewed due to a fault. Thanks be to God the weather was settled for the decorator to complete the redecoration of the exterior of the Presbytery and Our Lady & St. Illtyd & Parish Centre in three weeks. Thank you to those of our Parish family who contributed towards the cost.
