Location Notes

We chose to use the living room as our main location as when we did our genre, we discovered that most safe houses were abandoned houses since most criminal activity will happen in an urban location. We struggled to find an abandon house in a urban area so we just decided to use a regular house.

Gunfight scene

As a group we decided that this was the best location due to the amount of space we had to move around the camera and that there was a large amount of space for the scene to take place. The mise-en-scene is also in place as the lighting is high key this shows to the audience that this location is a counter-type to what people perceive a safe house should be. The next main location we used is the kitchen.

Celebration

We decided to use the kitchen because this is where the gang the Dogs had celebrated the heist as well as counting the money. The mise-en-sene is also in place as the props were placed such as the bottle of alcohol and we see that the Dogs costume is all dark colours, this conveys to the audience that these characters are presented as evil people who show no remorse.

Realisation

Also another location we used was outside the safe house this was used to show the opposition, which were the ballers. Also we see that Robert had segregated himself from the group while the dogs were celebrating the heist.

Another reason we chose this location is because it is located in a quiet residential area, which means that it will be more likely the surrounding area wont be noisy when we film. In addition, the lighting conditions are what we were looking for as we could adjust the lighting, which allows us to change the mood and atmosphere of the location.

The location is conveniently nearby, which means it will be easier for us to transport the camera and equipment when were filming. Also most of our actors leave nearby the location, which is an advantage for us because this makes them available most of the time to film.
