Directory of Involvement Opportunities - 2011-2012

Dear Student:

Welcome to the opportunities for involvement here at Loras College! We believe in the concept of seamless learning. In other words, learning takes place whether you are surrounded by four walls in a classroom, attending a residence hall program or honoring others with service in a soup kitchen. This learning is what Loras College is all about.

As you begin your academic year, I invite you to immerse yourself in the opportunities offered by Loras College. Student clubs and organizations, service learning, studying away, and intercollegiate sports and intramurals are fantastic ways to gain experience and learn more about who you are. Exposure to different opinions, learning to work with others, organizing your time, and representing Loras to the outside community are experiences we hope you encounter during your years with us. The skills and abilities gained through involvement are lifelong. These experiences enhance the intellectual knowledge you obtain during your academic career, and make you a well rounded student and citizen.

Get started by introducing yourself to other students and discovering what opportunities await you or by calling the Student Life Office at 588-7206. Welcome to Loras College, we look forward to your contribution to our community!

Sincerely,

Art SunleafDean of Students
