In Business scenario, it is required to upload the data into R/3 and process the data in theIDOC orm onl!. The data can be migrated to R/3 "#$ s!stem using IDOC %eneration

&ethod in '"&(. The data to be uploaded can be regarding material, vendor, customer etc. IDOC is the container, )hich stores the data in structured ormat and is used to

communicate bet)een R/3 s!stems. IDOC structure includes Status Record or storingstatus inormation o IDOC dispatch, Data Record or storing data into segments and its

corresponding ields and Control Record has receiver and source s!stem details etc.

This document contains "tep*b!*"tep instructions to use '"&( to generate and processIDOC rom the data ile available. In irst part user*deined IDOC structure is created and

required #'+ settings are done .In the "econd part, this IDOC structure is used in the

'"&( IDOC.

Part One: To create IDOC structure

Step One Run transaction (+3-.Create "egment )ith name +&$0"+%1.

Step Two Input the ields or the segment structure, )hich )ould be required in '"&(or mapping purpose.



Step Three 2o), %o to +dit * "et Release, so that !ou can use this segment in the R/3

s!stem urther.

Step Four: Run transaction )e341 and enter IDOC structure name )e )ant to create.

5ere, IDOC structure name is +&$0IDC1.

The ma7imum and minimum repetitions can be rom 444444444444 to 88888888888.

Choose an! number rang as per requirement.

#ter saving this data, !ou go screen as belo) to attach unction module to the processcode. The process code is the representation o the unction module or inbound idoc

processing.

structure. 5ere these ields are same as the ields in segment o the IDOC created earlier.

Clic9 radio button Maintain Structure Relations1 and e7ecute to create relationship

bet)een source and target structure. 5ere target structure is &essage t!pe +&$0&"%1.

Step Si:

Clic9 radio button Maintain Field Mapping and Conversion Rules1 and e7ecute to create

ield mapping and a conversion rules bet)een source structure and target structure.



Step Seen:

Clic9 radio button Maintain Fixed Values, ranslations, !ser"De#ined Routines1 ande7ecute to assign i7ed values to an! ield, to call user deined routines etc. These

activities are not required in our scenario.

Clic9 radio button ‘Create %Doc Overvie(’ and e7ecute to sho) status and details o IDOC generated. This screen is similar to (+4;1 or (+4A1 transaction.

5ere , as !ou can see , the status o IDOC is O ?%reen color Bubble@ and hence

conirms successul processing o IDOC.
