Who will win – robot, man or woman?
All industrial revolutions have shifted employment substantially – in the middle of the second industrial revolution in 1900, 41% of the US labour force was employed in agriculture. This had dropped to 4% in 1970 as the third industrial revolution took off, and less than 2% today.
Researchers estimated that 47% of US jobs are at high risk from the changes underway in digitisation and automation.
47% of the population in India still works in the agriculture sector

The 10 skills you need to thrive in the Fourth Industrial Revolution
Five years from now, over one-third of skills (35%) that are considered important in today’s workforce will have changed.
Robots may help us get to where we want to be faster, but they can’t be as creative as humans (yet).
Whereas negotiation and flexibility are high on the list of skills for 2015, in 2020 they will begin to drop from the top 10 as machines, using masses of data, begin to make our decisions for us.
Change won’t wait for us: business leaders, educators and governments all need to be proactive in up-skilling
65% of children entering primary school today will ultimately end up working in completely new job types that don’t yet exist.
