Marae Visit 2016 A huge thank you
to everyone who helped make our day so special.
Kia ora koutou. Nga mihi nui ki te whanau o te kura Puketapu. Hello to parents and caregivers.
Week 6… Halfway through Term 1 already.
Thank you for your support last Thursday and / or Friday with our visit up to Muru Raupatu. It’s always a great learning experience for our tamariki and one that is very special to Puketapu. The hikoi back took just over an hour and to a swim in the pool. We thank Constable Andrew for his help getting us all safely across the Main Road.
Thanks also to all the whanau who helped with the Totara Sleep over on Thursday, where there was great fun, if not a lot of sleep...
Congratulations to all those that helped with the Relay for Life last Saturday and Sunday at the Race Course. What a great effort from our leaders in the early hours of the morning getting the Puke team through. I’m not sure about the green ninja stuff! Thank you Paula for being the coordinator and fund collector.
Have you taken your whanau to the supermarket and looked at the prices of groceries? Make a list and do some adding… Budgeting is a very good maths exercise.
Don’t forget the Puketapu Triathlon on Friday. It’s another very unique Puketapu event, completely within our grounds and something for everyone to get involved in. We hope to see you there.
Enjoy the rest of your week.

Run! Cycle! Swim!
Individual and team events for all ages and a whanau competition too.
Contrary to previous information, all running and cycling stays on the school grounds, on the paddock and in our pool. (Our road route had a few too many hazards that would have been of concern).
We invite whanau to come along and support their tamariki.

Year 5 and 6 (Kowhai) 2.00pm assemble and start
Year 7 and 8 (Kauri) 2:15pm assemble and start
Our triathletes can compete individually and then be part of a team. Individuals first followed by the teams, in each group.
Reminder: All cyclists must wear a helmet and shoes (not jandals).
