Dear Parishioners,

As we enter the week we call holy,

let us be reminded that God loves us -

It 's all because of Love.

Today is Palm Sunday of the

Passion of the Lord. The word

"passion" when referring to Jesus,

recalls to us his suffering. But passion can also mean

"enthusiastic love" or that which drives a person to do

even difficult things - it is a consuming desire that

"eats up a person." It is interesting how Jesus had His

passion because of His passion - Jesus suffered

because of His love for God the Father, and His love

for us whom He wants to save. I believe we can all

relate to this when we remember the things that we

do or the things that we endure for our beloved.

Brothers and sisters, this week we will contemplate

Jesus Christ's suffering for all of us in obedience to the

Father. As we go through this week, let us always be

mindful of his love for us and be grateful for it. Let us

ask our Lord to forgive us of our sins and let us unite

ourselves with Him as we endure and offer our

sacrifices to Him.

I believe it will be good too to be mindful of other

people's passion for us - the love that they have for us

and the things that they do or endure because of their

love for us. In those acts of love that can sometimes

lead to sweat and blood, let us recognize the love of

Jesus and be grateful. I believe that it is in

recognizing the love of Jesus in the love that we

receive from others that we can truly experience

concretely His love or passion for us as individuals.

Let us respond with love. Let this week we call holy

be a week full of love for truly, it's all because of

love.

In Christ, Fr. Maro.
