There are four things the angels proclaimed we are to do at Christmas. 1. Christmas is a time to ____________ my ___________!

The first thing the angel said is, “Don’t be __________.” “Don’t be afraid, the angel said, I bring you good news that will bring joy to all people.” Luke 2:10

BABY BLESSING BASKET: A baby blessing basket is set out in the Gathering Place for our newest little ones, Max Allen, son of Drew & Leah Van Rees and Brody Jeffrey, son of Kenton & Kayla Dunsbergen.

Sunday School Christmas Project - This year the Beginner, Primary, Middle and High school Sunday school departments raised money to buy some animals through Gift of Hope. Not only have we reached our goal, we tripled it! Our total was $1,660.69. We can now pur-chase 16 farm animals, a dairy cow, $750 worth of school supplies in the US, $125 worth of books, $500 worth of clothes and 20 fruit trees.

CHURCH TREASURERS: A reminder for all treasurers to turn in your books, and financial reports for 2018, bank statements and cancelled checks to the church office for our annual report and for auditing by January 6, 2019.

QUARTERLY BUILDING FUND OFFERING— This will be taken as a second plate offering on Sunday, December 30 during the morning worship service. As the end of the year comes to a close let’s remember how God has richly blessed us! Your year-end giving must be post marked by December 31 for 2018 tax purposes. God has richly blessed us!

Our Christmas Offering this year is going to the Mission Fund.

Work Trip Opportunity: February 9—17, 2019 we will be heading to Eastern Texas (not sure of the specific location yet). There will be a meeting after the worship service on Sunday, January 13 for anyone interested in going. If you have any questions, please contact Gary Van Genderen at 594-2967 or [email protected].

Praise Drew & Leah Van Rees were blessed with a healthy baby boy, Max Allen, on

Wednesday, December 5. Everyone is doing great! Kenton & Kayla Dunsbergen were blessed with a healthy baby boy, Brody

Jeffrey, on Tuesday, December 18. They are doing great! Church Family Dennis Van Maanen had knee replacement surgery done on Monday, December 17

at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines. Surgery went well and he returned home Wednes-day, December 19 and is getting along well.

Karna Ver Ploeg was able to return home on Monday, December 17. She is getting along very well.

Shirley Baarda had a biopsy taken on a mass the doctors found on her lung on Tuesday, December 18. Continued prayers as she awaits the results.

Marvin Baarda will begin 30 rounds of radiation in his nose this week for a cancer-ous growth.
