Responsorial Psalm

Nicene Creed

Glory to God

Verse 1 We praise you, We bless you, We adore you, We glorify you, We give you thanks for your great glory, Lord God, heavenly King, O God, almighty Father. Verse 2 Lord Jesus Christ, Only Begotten Son, Lord God, Lamb of God, Son of the Father, you take away the sins of the world, have mercy on us; you take away the sins of the world, receive our prayer; you are seated at the right hand of the Father, have mercy on us. Verse 3 For you alone are the Holy One, You alone are the Lord, You alone are the Most High, Jesus Christ, With the Holy Spirit In the glory of God the Father.

All: I believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible. I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages. God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father; through him all things were made. For us men and for our salvation he came down from heaven, (bow) and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary, and became man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate, he suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead and his kingdom will have no end. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets. I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church. I confess one baptism for the forgiveness of sins and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come. Amen.

Chorus 1 How beautiful how beautiful How beautiful is the body of Christ Verse 1 How beautiful the hands that served The wine and the bread And the sons of the earth How beautiful the feet that walked The long dusty roads And the hill to the cross Verse 2 How beautiful the heart that bled That took all my sin And bore it instead How beautiful the tender eyes That chose to forgive And never despise

(BRIDGE) And as He laid down His life We offer this sacrifice That we will live just as He died Willing to pay the price Willing to pay the price Verse 3 How beautiful the radiant Bride Who waits for her Groom With His light in her eyes How beautiful when humble hearts give The fruit of pure lives So that others may live Verse 4 How beautiful the feet that bring The sound of good news And the love of the King How beautiful the hands that serve The wine and the bread And the sons of the earth

O God, Beyond all Praising Michael Perry

O God beyond all praising, we worship you today and sing the love amazing that songs cannot repay; for we can only wonder at every gift you send and blessings without number and mercies without end; we lift our hearts before you and wait upon your word; we honor and adore you our great and mighty Lord. The flower of earthly splendor in time must surely die, its fragile bloom surrender to you, the Lord most high; but hidden from all nature the eternal seed is sown though small immortal stature to heaven’s garden grown; for Christ, the man from heaven, from death has set us free, and we through him are given the final victory. Then hear, O gracious Savior, accept the love we bring, that we who know your favor may serve you as our King; and whether our tomorrows be filled with good or ill, we’ll triumph through our sorrows and rise to praise you still to marvel at your beauty and glory in your ways, and make a joyful duty our sacrifice of praise.

Community Life

Happy Father’s Day

“As for me and my household, we will serve the LORD” (Joshua 24:15). The role of a father is critical. An earthly father’s example of strength, wisdom, and

compassion is the first Gospel proclaimed to children regarding the Fatherhood of God. St. Joseph, the foster father of Jesus, is a strong model of a just and righteous man. This Father’s Day, hold him up as a model to the fathers in our parish.

Eucharistic Quotes from Saints for Reflection this Feast of Corpus Christi Sunday

"Holy Communion is the shortest and the safest way to Heaven." - Pope Saint Pius X "This is the Bread of everlasting life which supports the substance of our soul." - St. Ambrose "The Eucharist is the source and summit of the Christian life." - Pope Saint John Paul II "Recognize in this bread, what hung on the cross, and in this chalice, what flowed from His side... whatever was in many and varied ways announced beforehand in the sacrifices of the Old Testament, pertains to this one sacrifice which is revealed in the New Testament." - St. Augustine "As two pieces of wax fused together make one, so he who receives Holy Communion is so united with Christ that Christ is in him and he is in Christ." - St. Cyril of Alexandria "If angels could be jealous of men, they would be so for one reason: Holy Communion." - St. Maximilian Kolbe "When you look at the Crucifix, you understand how much Jesus loved you then. When you look at the Sacred Host, you understand how much Jesus loves you now." - Saint Teresa of Calcutta (Mother Teresa) "From the Eucharist comes strength to live the Christian life and zeal to share that life with others." - Pope Saint John Paul II "The Eucharist is the consummation of the whole spiritual life." - St. Thomas Aquinas "If we but paused for a moment to consider attentively what takes place in this Sacrament, I am sure that the thought of Christ's love for us would transform the coldness of our hearts into a fire of love and gratitude." - St. Angela of Foligno "...In this world I cannot see the Most High Son of God with my own eyes, except for His Most Holy Body and Blood." - St. Francis of Assisi If Christ did not want to dismiss the Jews without food in the desert for fear that they would collapse on the way, it was to teach us that it is dangerous to try to get to heaven without the Bread of Heaven." - St. Jerome "How many of you say: I should like to see His face, His garments, His shoes? You do see Him, you touch Him, you eat Him. He gives Himself to you, not only that you may see Him, but also to be your food and nourishment." - St. John Chrysostom "All the good works in the world are not equal to the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass because they are the works of men; but the Mass is the work of God. Martyrdom is nothing in comparison for it is but the sacrifice of man to God; but the Mass is the sacrifice of God for man." - St. John Vianney "You come to me and unite Yourself intimately to me under the form of nourishment. Your Blood now runs in mine, Your Soul, Incarnate God, compenetrates mine, giving courage and support. What miracles!" - St. Maximilian Kolbe "He is The Bread sown in the virgin, leavened in the Flesh, molded in His Passion, baked in the furnace of the Sepulchre, placed in the Churches, and set upon the Altars, which daily supplies Heavenly Food to the faithful." - St. Peter Chrysologus “Every Consecrated Host is made to burn itself up with love in a human heart.” - St. John Vianney

Home Visit Ministry Activity Update Our Home Visit teams have been so glad to be of help to our fellow parishioners. During May, our visit teams reached out to forty-nine (49) parish households, and were able to assist seven (7) parish families with ministries of interest to them—including several faith formation inquiries. In addition to one (1) prayer request, we were also able to improve the accuracy of seventeen (17) family records, so our parish office can keep up with the ever-changing dynamics of our parish community. We look forward to meeting those of you we haven’t met yet, and learning how we might be of help. Watch your mail for our announce-ment postcard. Home Visitation – Reaching Out to Our Own and Connect-ing the Dots! Interested parishioners are always welcome to get involved! Contact Eldon at [email protected] or Susan at [email protected] for more details.

Our 2nd annual Corpus Christi Procession begins after 12:15 pm Mass Instructions will be provided in the church after the 12:15 p.m. Mass. Hospitality ministers will distribute programs so all can participate in the prayers and hymns. The Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus will lead our procession in full regalia. They will be followed by Fr. Sy carrying our Lord in the monstrance under the baldachin (canopy), the rest of clergy, and all the ministry banner carriers. The rest of congregation and visitors will follow. Don’t forget to join us afterwards for the potluck reception in the hall. Feel free to drop off your dish in the hall (enter next to the Outreach Center) before the 12:15 pm Mass. Note: Parts of the parking lot will be blocked off to accommodate the procession, so come earlier, if possible. Here is an aerial view of our procession route.
