CASA of McHenry County will have two informational sessions about how to become a CASA advocate for chil-dren.
Advocate Recruitment Nights will be 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Crystal Lake Public Library, 126 Paddock St., and 6 to 7:30 p.m. Feb. 6 at Woodstock Public Library, 414 W. Judd St.
CASA of McHenry County
is a nonprofit organization which trains and supports volunteers to speak and act as advocates for the best inter-ests of abused and neglected children. They are trained to work within the child welfare and family court systems, and are appointed by judges to individual cases.
The McHenry Booster Club will have its third annual trivia/game fund-raising night Feb. 23 at the McHenry Veterans of For-eign Wars Post 4600, 3002 W. Route 120.
Doors open 5:45 p.m. with a buffet, cash bar and raffles/auctions opening 6 p.m.
Games begin 7:15 p.m. with awards and the auc-
tions closing approximately 10:30 p.m.
The event includes a triv-ia challenge and games for teams of eight to compete.
Admission is $30 a person or $35 the night of the event.
Zion Lutheran Church, 4206 W. Elm St., will have a buffet style ham dinner noon to 2 p.m. Sunday.
The dinner is sponsored by the Zion Assistance Program.
