What did the pig say to the gerbil? “I've got my scientist so well trained thatevery time I press the buzzer, she brings me a biscuit.”
A magician pulls rabbits out of hats. An experimental psychologist pulls habits out of rabbits.
What do you call ten rabbits marching backwards? A receding hareline.
What did the bunny say when he only had thistles to eat? Thistle have to do!
Suspicious disappearance
Still no word fromBrandy
Rick & CatherineThompson made anappeal Friday to their32-year old daughterBrandy Cowell: “Weurge you to call home… We’re worriedabout you… pleasecall home …”
Brandy did notreturn home after an
overnight visit withher new boyfriendon Aug. 31st, despite assuring her par-ents she’d be back for her 6-year oldson’s first day of school.
The boyfriend, Robert Bishop, has not been reported missing, but RCMP are look-ing for him because he was the last personshe was seen with Sept. 1st, in Princeton.
Bishop is unemployed, recently of Kamloops and has a criminal record fora fraud charge in Squamish in 2007. Heis apparently a “con artist” who hasmade his way across the country fromNew Brunswick, stealing from peopleover the years, police say.
Pictures of Bishop in the media thepast couple of days have prompted callsto police, some saying, ‘Yeah, he rippedme off years ago. It seemed like the sameguy,’ but so far none of the tips have beenuseful, being too vague or too dated.
Police say it’s not clear that the disap-pearance is an abduction. They will active-ly work on the case as a missing person’sreport until they determine Brandy is safe.
Water quality issuesat Nicola Lake
TNRD rep Randy Murray has spear-headed a request to the Min. of Envir. formore study and planning for Nicola Lake.
“We do know it’s a heavily used recre-ational area. There’s heavy traffic withdevelopment. There are ranches in the area— all kinds of issues,” he said “[Residents]are seeing an increase in algae, milfoil andother weeds there are thicker. This yearthere’s a film on the lake.”
MoE is involved in water quality plan-ning at Shuswap Lake, with public meet-ings, water quality testing & researchreports. Randy thinks with increaseddevelopment and use of Nicola Lake, they should consider a similar focus.
