About the Survey
Online survey of 140 cities, from late April to mid-May 2009
Questionnaire developed by USCM, together with Siemens and GlobeScan
Respondents represent a good mix of US cities
June 20095
Key Findings
Single greatest infrastructure challenge – raised by three in five respondents (59%) - is obtaining the funding to meet infrastructure needs
Transportation (including streets/highways and public transit) is area of infrastructure that cities would most like to see targeted by stimulus funding
Respondents identify improvements to public transportation as the most promising policy measure for cities to reduce their contribution to climate change
One-third of cities within the same region are already seeing greater collaboration due to the economic crisis and climate change
