A Lil Bit of Life...
Ashley Renee<3
Ashley Renee
My name is Ashley Renee Higgins. Im 15 years old, and a freshman at Benton High
School. I’m interested in cheerleading,
and it’s pretty much all i do. I love hanging out with my bestfriends and
doing crazy things we’ll never forget. Sometimes I can be annoying, and a Lil
crazy, but hey that’s what makes me who I am right? I know you only live once, so I make the most of life while I still can. I take advantage of what I have cause I know
it won’t always be there. Yeah i’m weird, and far from normal, but I blame my best
friends, and Without them, I’d be nobody.

Life is short, and you never know when it’s over. So make the most of it while you still can, because some people don’t make it through. Some people don’t get to enjoy the things that you do and see things you see. You may think you have it bad, but stay strong and have fun. Live your life how you want because you won’t have it forever, and unfortunately some don’t have it very long at all.
I remember it like it was yesterday. The phone call in the middle of the night that told us she wasn’t doing well. My Aunt Angie was in the hospital, and no one knew why. We rushed there as fast as we could, but she was already unresponsive. Couldn’t talk, couldn’t move, nothing. I stood there next to her, crying, praying, and wishing she’d pull true. Being hopeful because that was my only option. I held her hand and told her I loved her. I always have, and I always will. She couldn’t breathe well, and as much as I wanted her to make it, I knew she wouldn’t. I listened carefully, and stared into her lifeless eyes. She wasn’t suppose to look like that. What happened to the beautiful Angie I knew? Lost in my thoughts, and prayers, I almost didn’t hear the solid beep in the background, and just turning to look at my mom, I knew it meant she was gone. I completely broke down, and wouldn’t let go of her hand. It wasn’t fair. Thirty-two years old and her life was over.
Being my aunt in all, I still cry today. I can’t imagine how my cousins must have felt. I have learned to appreciate what I have because I now know it isn’t going to be mine forever. I think about how it would feel to lose my mom, and I know I couldn’t do it. I barely made it though losing an aunt, and I miss her everyday. Understand what you have, and be proud because you never know when it won’t be there anymore. Appreciate what you have today, because it might be gone tomorrow. I regret that I never really got to say goodbye. By the time we knew she was in the hospital, she was already unresponsive. It’s not fair that she’s just gone, and it’s not fair that I can’t see her anymore.
I don’t get to see her smile, and joke around anymore. I don’t get to grow up with the aunt I used to see. I don’t get to hear her say, ”Angels on your pillows” as I go to sleep at night. A lot of things have changed without her in my life, but there are also a lot of things that she don’t get to see. Her oldest son is now a father of a beautiful baby boy, and she never got to meet her grandson. She never got to hold him or see him smile. She also never saw her daughter grow up, and look just like her. Or her youngest boy mature and become the sweetheart he is today.
You never know when your life is going to end, so make the most of it and enjoy everything you have. You may not realize it now, but you’re lucky to be alive. People think they want out of this world, or want other people to be gone, but once they aren’t here you’ll notice how much they really meant to you. Some people don’t get to experience a long life, so consider your self blessed to still be alive. Remember life is short so have fun, don’t worry about anything, and just make the most of it while you can.

The Capital of Tennessee is Nashville. In Nashville Tennessee there are several things to do for fun, such as going to the Grand ole Opry Show and enjoy hours of Country music. Transportation tickets include a ride from your house to the Opry. It’s tons of fun, and a must see kind of thing.
Another great attraction in Nashville, is The General jackson Cruises. You go on a cruise and get dinner served with an entertaining show. You can also go during lunch time if you would prefer that instead.
Another great Attraction is located in Townsend Tennessee, the Tuckaleechee Caverns. They are estimated to be 20 to 30 million years old. Many cool formations are carved into the cave walls and it has one of the largest rooms any cave has ever had. Cold fresh water runs through it, and is drinkable.

Chicken and Broccoli Casserole
Every night, i think about, the person i will be, i close my eyes, and wonder, what
things I’ll someday see. Who I might become, and exactly what I’ll do, if green will always
be my favorite, or will it switch to blue? I wonder where I’ll live or if I’ll ever go, when I just won’t be here, or when I’ll feel so low. If my best friends will leave, and i’ll be alone, If I’ll get super tall, and look back on how much
I’ve grown. I wonder if things will be different, but what will be the same, I guess
I’ll find out, when I decide to make the change.
