Dinner for Eight                                                                                                   Wear your high school or college gear and come make new friends on Friday, September 13 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. in the Building C Attic. Bring an appetizer to share. After the event, groups of 8 will gather for monthly dinners in their homes. Care Visitation Team                              Mark your Connection Card so a Visitation Team member can pray and visit you while hospitalized. Know a St. Luker who cannot make it to church? Need Transportation?                    Volunteers can drive you to appointments free of charge. Please give five to seven days’ notice ahead of need.

Free Knitting/Crochet Class                           Wednesdays from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. in Building C Room 204.

Parenting Solo                                           Single parents are invited to join this weekly support group led by St. Lukers on Wednesdays through October 23 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. in the Special Events Dining Room. This 10-week Biblically-based study focuses on how to set healthy boundaries using the “Boundaries” series. Childcare and youth programming is available with reservation. Baptism Class - October 3                                    Infant/child baptism classes are on the first Thursday of each month at 5:30 p.m. in the Founder’s Hall Conference Room. Our next class is October 3. For more information visit st.lukes.org/baptism.

GriefShare                                          Grieving the loss of a loved one? Meet on Thursdays through December 12 in the Building C Special Events Dining Room. We offer a morning class (10:30 a.m.) and an evening class (6:30 p.m.). Register at st.lukes.org/care/#grief.

Support Group for Parents of Children/Teens with Autism Spectrum Disorder                                Meet Thursday, September 12 at 6:30 p.m. in Building C Room 206. Childcare available for children age 10 and under with prior reservation.

Stephen Ministry Applications                                                 Are you interested in becoming a Stephen Minister? St. Luke’s is currently accepting applications through October 18 for the 2020 Training Class. Training starts on January 7. Visit with a Stephen Minister between worship services in the Building C Rotunda TODAY or on September 15 or 29 to learn more about the application process. Hope for HungerA Vision for Restoring Hope

Donate to the Senior’s First       Emergency Food Pantry  One out of 6 seniors do not know where their next meal is coming from. Meals on Wheels helps, but you can also contribute food items to their emergency pantry. Items such as soup, beans, canned meats, peanut butter and protein drinks are desired. A complete list of requested products is on our website at st.lukes.org/local (Meals on Wheels). Items can be delivered directly to Senior’s First.

Go All In                                                                                                                                Missions is facilitating trainings on how to go all in for mission by rethinking some of our assumptions about poverty and “the poor,” so we can reset our understanding and then re-engage in ways we serve with commitment for sustainable change. These classes meet the requirements for Circle Allies, Family Advocates and others interested in relationship-based mission ministries.

Family Advocates Needed                                 Compassionate souls needed to walk alongside families who are transitioning from motel residents to apartment renters through our Restoring Hope Stable Housing Initiative. Come learn the tools and boundaries to empower someone working on their goals in this 4-week training. Circles Needs You!                                 Make thriving families and thriving communities a reality for those living on poverty-level income in East Winter Garden! We need you to be one of 30 Allies beginning this fall. Develop friendships and collaborate with individuals to reach goals toward economic stability.
