MISSION STATEMENT The vision of Mount Olive Baptist Church is to be a culturally relevant church that minimizes dogma and maximizes Love--the Love of a living God as embodied in Jesus Christ in order that we might cultivate a faith that supports broken humanity throughout the difficulties of life. We want to be a Church dedicated to the mission of spiritual, academic and economic growth of individuals through teaching, serving and guid- ing them to grow beyond their personal experiences into new creatures in Jesus Christ. We want to involve everyone in ministry, so that people will minister to people. We want to be a Church where Biblical enlightenment, healing, renewal, reclamation, rehabilitation and reconciliation are the cornerstones of our faith. We want to be a source of spiritual sustenance, security, and inspiration to those who are struggling with the burdens of life throughout our spir- itual journey together. We want to be strengthened in our commitment to serve as instruments of God in our Church, our community and the world, by confronting, transforming and eliminating those things in our culture that dehumanize us and perpetuate psychological enslavement. “Looking Back In Thanksgiving,

Moving Forward in Faith”

Mount Olive Baptist Church is a Beacon of Light

and Love in the Hackensack Community and beyond.

Through the sacrificial giving of so many who have come

before us in these past 125 years we are blessed to have a

great church that reaches the community with a helping

hand, and open doors to all who desire to come in and

worship God.

In this day and age when many churches are having

to close their doors due to lack of resources let us secure

the legacy and life of Mount Olive Baptist Church by giv-

ing a sacrificial offering of $84 a month, or a one- time

sacrifice of $1000 to help secure the life of our church

for future generations.

In appreciation for your sacrifice to God, we have

designed a 125th Church Anni-

versar y Commemorat ive

Plague that will be presented

to each participant at our 2014

Watch Night Service as we

bring in a new season of great

ministry in the Hackensack

Community and beyond.
