Promotional ‘Saturday Night At The Movies’ was The Overtones 3rd studio album, released 4th November 2013. The Overtones promoted their album before its release by advertisements on radio/TV via performances on TV shows singing new singles that would be on the album. After the release of the album, they promoted it even further by carrying on with TV/radio appearances and CD signings in HMV’s across the country. They also promoted their attention across the media by being apart of the show to switch on the Christmas lights at The Trafford Centre in 2013, after doing a CD signing.

They completed a tour not long after the albums release, which was also advertised by a leaflet that came alongside the album,

The Overtones’ merchandise store announced that they would be selling their album with a special ‘Mothers Day’ message off the boys personally. Their store also sells their previous albums, T-shirts, mugs, aprons, signed cards, tea towel and bags all with The Overtones logo and or a picture of the boys on.

Producers strategies
The overall strategies for promoting The Overtones album and the band itself, was TV interviews and Radio appearances. By appearing on TV, they were boosting their profile by appealing to more age ranges with the selection of songs they sang. Their genre is mainly doo-wop 60’s songs that they remake into modern day but they also cover current artists such as Maroon 5, Adele and Daft Punk.
