From the Messy Desk of Fr. Rob

Dear Parishioners: I would like to extend a very happy and blessed Mother’s Day to all moms. I hope and pray that God may continue to bless you in your calling as a Mother and fill you with many graces. The Archdiocese of Indianapolis has given each parish per-mission to loosen the covid restrictions during mass, with a few exceptions. As a result, we will be putting together a new plan for safe protocols that can be applied to our church. It is my aim and hope to be back in church begin-ning in June. For the time being, we will keep the same mass schedule: 5pm Saturday; and 8am, 9:30am, 10:45am on Sunday. Please keep in my mind that the 9:30am mass is only temporary. As we continue to pray the rosary 20 minutes prior to mass during the month of May, let us remember Deacon Tony Lewis and his family, as well as all others who need our pray-ers. Prayer is a beautiful gift that brings us together and al-lows us to act as one Body in Christ.

Have a blessed week and Happy Mother’s Day! Fr. Rob

Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers! You are all such a blessing to so many! Congratulations to all of our Confirmation students. Their Mass this past week at SS Peter & Paul Cathedral was beautiful. They will be honored at the end of 10:45AM Mass on Sunday, May 16.

Speaking of Confirmation, any high school student that has been confirmed is invited to join a newly formed group here at St. Thomas, M.I.L.E. We will be working together to find fun ways to share our faith with those who have yet to be Confirmed. Our first meeting will be held on Sunday, May 16 @ 6PM in the hall. I will send a reminder via Flocknote this week for anyone who is eligible to attend.

Youth Group will be meeting on Saturday, May 15 after the 5PM Mass until 8PM. Come and hang out in the youth room to play some ping pong, eat some snacks, and enjoy some fellowship. Please remember to wear your mask.

All members of our Youth Group need to “save the date” of Saturday, June 5th! This is going to be an event that you won’t want to miss! This will be an all-day event, so mark your calendars!

Peace,

Leah

Between now and the weekend of May 23rd, we are also asking all of you to help. Please place any donations in the giant pink baby bottle located in the Church Hall. After May 23rd, we will take all donations, with any students that can help, and shop for the common items that are need-ed by those assisted by Birthline. We will then take a trip downtown to the Catholic C enter to make the donation.

Thank you in advance for any help you can give!
