The neckline is the top edge of a garment that surrounds the neck, especially from the front view. Neckline also refers to the overall line between all the layers of clothing and the neck and shoulders of a person, ignoring the unseen undergarments.For each garment worn above the waist, the neckline is primarily a style line and may be a boundary for further shaping of the upper edge of a garment with, for example, a collar, cowl, darts or pleats.The neckline is primarily astyle lineand may be a boundary for further shaping of the upper edge of a garment.A collar encircles the neck and face, offering great opportunities for design variations. various types of models.

Types of necklines: Neck lines will creates different moods on the bodies and overall look will change with necklines. And these will give different types of look on different type of category wears. Square neckline: square has a straight horizontal bodice that meets with straps in a 90 degree angle. V-neckline: the two shoulders will meet on the waist, at the same point. Dips down in a v shape. One shoulder: strap across one shoulder only . asymmetric necklines.
