NECKLINES & ITS IMPACT ON STYLING introduction The line formed by the edge of a garment at or near the neck. neck lines according to our designs through the help of pattern making. The effect of the neck line will be on styling, also the major parts of the garments sleeves, collars,

pockets, plackets, hem line, waistline , whole design of the garment. So these will supports the

neck line ,how to be there.

Types of necklines: Neck lines will creates different moods on the bodies and overall look will change with necklines. And these will give different types of look on different type of category wears. Square neckline: square has a straight horizontal bodice that meets with straps in a 90 degree angle. V-neckline: the two shoulders will meet on the waist, at the same point. Dips down in a v shape. One shoulder: strap across one shoulder only . asymmetric necklines. Off-shoulder: sits below the shoulders and highlights the collar bone and shoulders. polo neckline(circular):these are high close-fitting collars that wrap around the neck itself, and are also calledturtlenecks. They are most common for sweaters (also called jumpers) or jerseys jewel neckline:these are round and sit at the base of the throat, and are also called thet- shirt necklineor crew neck. these have a curved bottom edge that is concave down and usually doubly scalloped to resemble the top half of a heart. The side edges often converge on the neck, similar to halter necklines. Sweetheart necklines accentuate the bosom.
