Atwater squash players, I hope you have all had

great Summers enjoying the amazing weather

and recharging your batteries for another action

packed squash season here at the club. We have

been hard at work over the last month with

refurbishing the singles courts and I am very

excited for you to final ly get to play on them. I am

really looking forward to getting al l the leagues

and programs up and running in the coming

weeks. Registration is now open and I have listed

the leagues below. I f you would l ike to participate

please send me an email as soon as possible.

Atwater Club PhotoContest

To help celebrate Montreal’s 375th birthday the

Atwater Club’s photo contest wil l return in

January 201 7 with a collection of members’

favourite shots of Montreal. They can be photos

from your inventory (but not those previously

submitted to this photo contest). This time we

are making it easier than ever to participate with

a “Frame at the Club” option for those who

simply want to print and submit! Info:

between the two sheets of cellophane. It should

be as flat as a crêpe. Remove the top cellophane

sheet and add the liver mousse evenly on the

cranberries. Roll to form a log and refrigerate for

at least 2 hours. Cut in slices and serve.

7-8 fresh mint leaves

½ lime, cut into 5-6 wedges

1 tablespoons warmed maple syrup

1½ fluid ounces white rum

A recent study by Eklund et al. (201 6) showed

that if your primary goal is to lose fat, then you

need to do your cardio on different days. Both

men and women lost significantly more fat if they

trained on different days compared to same-day

training. Interestingly, women were more affected

by the difference. This was due to the post-

exercise energy costs with more frequent

(shorter) training compared to fewer (long) long-

250 g of liver paté

1 00 g of salted butter

1 1 /2 oz of cognac

2 1 /2 cups of cranberries

Non stick cooking spray

Cellophane paper

Method: In a food processor, puree the dried

cranberries until it forms into a ball. In a separate

bowl, mix the liver pâté, the butter and the

cognac. Lay two sheets of cellophane on your

work table, spray them with cooking spray. Put

the cranberry mixture on one of the two

cellophane sheet and cover with the other sheet.

Method : In a large mixing glass muddle mint

and lime until they give up their aroma. Add ice,

rum and warmed maple syrup. Shake. Strain

over ice and add Soda. Garnish with lime.
