DISCUSS THIS...

Farewell 2019.

I don’t know about you, but for me, what a year it has been! There have been so many highlights. I was fortunate to be able to go on the China trip. It was a time of building great relationships with the students and staff. I was so proud of our students and how they handled themselves in a foreign country.

It is always a highlight to go to camp. There have been lots of camps this year and each student has come back with a story to tell of an experience that impacted their life. It may have been a challenge obtained, a friendship formed, a fear negated, a funny event retold.

We have had many students this year graduate their unit level and will be moving to a new unit next year. This can be both exciting and nerve racking. Please talk up the positives for your student, as the benefits will far outweigh the negatives. For those leaving the VRS community we wish you all the best for your future.

From the wellbeing mob, Dani and I would like to with you all a fun and happy Christmas. We recognise that this may be not so great a time for some as experience a festive season without loved ones – we wish you peace and know that our thoughts and prayers are with you and your families at this time. Have a great break, find time for yourself, give to others, make memories and smile.

Hope to see as many of you in 2020.

Darren and Dani.
