Qeqqa / Nuuk City Newspaper. It will from 2016 be published as
Qeqqa.gl / City newspaper .
From 2016 Qeqqa.gl will also be available in Qaqortoq and
Sisimiut. The plan is to make it available in Ilu-lissat and other
cities later in the year.
The newspaper has also got its own website and Facebook page
qeqqa.gl and you can read the entire newspaper online on both

NQefter at have ligget i Nuuk Center i tre r er Atuagkat flyttet
til Brugsenis bygning i bymid-ten, hvor de deler lokale med Inuk
Design.
Fokus p bger- Vi har valgt kun at vre en boghan-del nu og derfor
er vi flyttet, fortller Claus Jordening, som har ejet forret-ningen
siden 2005 sammen med sin kone Dorthe Jordening.
- I Nuuk Center skulle vi ogs slge
andet end bger, og det gider vi ikke mere. Vi vil fokusere p
hyggen og nrvret med kunderne.
Nye bningstiderAtuagkat har eksisteret siden 1966. Mange husker
nok det lille bl hus hvor boghandlen l, fr placeringen i Nuuk
Center.
Efter flytningen har de fet nye bningstider fra mandag til
torsdag 10.00-17.30, fredag 10.00-18.00 og lrdag 10.00-14.00.

Claus og Dorthe ogs lsegrupper, l-seforeninger, foredrag med
forfattere og debatmder.
- Vi fr en masse nye bger her op til jul, siger Claus.

AtuAgkAt hAs movedNQ Atuagkat has been located in Nuuk Center
for three years, and has now moved to Brugsenis build- ing in the
heart of Nuuk, where they share the space with Inuk Design.
Focus on books- We have chosen to be only a book- store now and
thats why we moved, Claus Jordening says, who has been the owner of
the business since 2005 to-gether with his wife Dorthe
Jordening.
- We sold other things than books when in Nuuk Center, but we
have de- cided to only sell books now. We want to focus on creating
a warm and wel-coming atmosphere for the customers.
New opening hoursAtuagkat has existed since 1966. Many
can probably remember the little blue house where the bookstore
was prior to moving into Nuuk Center.
They also have new opening hours from Monday to Thursday 10:00
to 17:30, Friday 10:00 to 18:00 and Sa-turday 10:00 to 14:00.
Christmas Gifts & eventsIn addition to selling books Claus
and Dorthe also organize reading groups, reading associations,
talks by authors and debate meetings.
- We get a lot of new books this Christmas, Claus says.
- The bestseller this Christmas will probably be a big picture
book with photos from Greenland. It is our specialty.

because others do - not because they actually set a goal to keep.
It is like a trend, that everyone wants to be a part of.

NQAt sejle er at leve, for ellen og Anders pedersen, der i over
25 r har levet af at sejle. Det har vret en oplevelse, som mange
har fet lov til at dele med dem, da de har sejlet charter i alle
rene for en lang rkke mennesker, bde privat og for
virksomheder.
Anders er kaptajn p skibet. Han har en lang erhvervshistorie,
der har givet ham en utrolig god baggrund for at sejle sit eget
skib. Han er uddannet elektriker og elektromekaniker, og har
arbejdet flere r p et autovrksted, hvorfra han kender til
motorer.
Derfor kan Anders selv lave meget af det andre er ndt til at f
hjlp ude- fra til. er der noget der gr i stykker, s er det sjldent
Anders ikke selv kan reparere det. Han har selv installeret radar
og generelt sat skibet i stand.

sammen med en kammerat et godt je til lgebden i Uummannaq. Sammen

efter kom til salg, kbte de den.
De brugte et par r til at indrette
skibet, fr den var klar til sejlads. Da der var en del
omkostninger forbundet med dette, valgte de at f den god-kendt til
passagersejlads.
Chartersejlads p fuldtidDa Anders havde fundet ud af at sej-lads
var hans kald, og han havde fet noget mere erfaring, kbte han
skibet M/S Kissavik som han sammen med ellen sejlede i ca. 10
r.
Med skibet har Anders og ellen gjort sig en del rigtig gode
erfaringer med sejlads i det grnlandske farvand.
kisaqDa Kisaq i 1998 kom til salg, kbte de den. Anders brugte to
lange r p, at indrette det der er i dag. Skibet har plads og
godkendelse til 12 passagerer.
Skibet er indrettet med seks kahyt-ter, der er funktionelt
indrettet med kjer og skabe, s gster kan indrette sig godt i fred
og ro. Desuden er der et stort opholdsrum, der er delt i to
sektioner i hver side af skibet, s der er spiseplads i den ene side
af skibet mens der er to borde p den anden side, med plads til at
slappe af.
Derudover er der et funktionelt kkken og et omrde af skibet der
er forbeholdt bestningen.
mange mulighederKisaq bliver brugt til mange forskellige forml,
fordelt ud over hele ret. Den primre hjsson ligger fra april til
jagtssonen ender i midten af oktober.
De sejler hele ret, men det er som regel om vinteren, at de har
tid til at vedligeholde skibet.
Travl periodeFrst p ret er skibet booket af uden-landske heliski
guider, der hvert r kommer med nye gster, der vil st p ski. Det er
primrt omkring Maniitsoq, men til tider ogs ved Uummannaq. Heliski
vil sige at gsterne bliver fljet med helikopter op p en fjeldtop,
hvor de s str p ski ned af den nye sne.
Andre gster, der ikke har den sam-me konomi vandrer op af
fjeldsiderne og str p ski ned. Denne type kaldes randonee.
Fra maj til slut sommer er det ty-pisk biologer, offentlige
virksomheder og rstofselskaber, der bruger Kisaq som hotelskib. Der

NQ To sail is to live can easily be said to be ellen and Anders
Pedersens motto. They have for 25 years made a living at sea. Many
peo- ple have been fortunate to have the experience to sail with
ellen and An-ders, as they have been offering char-ter tours all
these years for a variety of people, both private and for
business.
Anders is the captain of the ship. He has a long professional
history that has given him a very good back-ground to sail his own
ship. He is an electrician and electrical engineer, and has worked
several years in a garage, which gave him great knowledge about
engines.
This makes it possible for Anders to fix most things himself,
where others usually hire help. It is rare Anders cant do the
repairs himself. He has even installed a radar and maintains the
ship.
The dream quickly came trueBack in the 1970s Anders worked in
Maarmorilik mine that was located near Uummannaq. Anders and a
friend had a good eye on the medical boat in Uummannaq. Together
they dreamed about taking over the boat when the opportunity arose.
They bought it right away, shortly after the boat went up for
sale.
They spent a few years fixing the ship before it was ready to
sail. They chose to get it approved for passenger service, as they
spend quite a lot on repairs.
Charter tours full timeAnders realized that sailing was his
calling, and after many years of experi-ence, he bought the ship M
/ S Kissa- vik which he and ellen used for about 10 years.
The ship has provided Anders and ellen great experience with
sailing in Greenlandic waters.
kisaqThey bought Kisaq in 1998. Anders spent two long years
fixing up the in-terior. The ship has room and approval for 12
passengers. The ship is equip-ped with six cabins that are
furnished with bunk beds and closets so guests can feel at home in
peace and quiet. There is a large living room, which is divided
into two sections on each side of the ship. There is a dining area
on one side of the ship while there are two tables on the other
side, with room to relax. It also has a functional kitchen and a
compartment of the vessel which is reserved for crew.
many optionsKisaq is used for many different pur- poses all year
round. The high season is from April to the hunting season which
ends mid-october. They sail all year, but it is usually in the
winter that they have time to maintain the ship.
Busy periodThe ship is booked by foreign heli-ski- ing guides
early every year. They bring new guests who want to ski, usually
around Maniitsoq but sometimes also around Uummannaq. Heli-skiing
means that guests are flown by heli-copter onto a mountain top
where they ski untouched snow.
other guests who cant afford the helicopter hike up the
mountainsides and ski down. This is called randonee skiing. It is
typically biologists, public companies and mining companies that
use Kisaq as a hotel ship from May un-til the end of summer. There
is usually not much sailing on those trips, but it
suits Anders well to help when there are machines to be started,
or other technical tasks to be solved.
Autumn tripsThere are many annual trips late summer and autumn,
where friends go hunting or on an adventure for a extended weekend.
It is a much needed break for many, a way to get away for a while
where they dont have to think about sailing or cooking.
Book well in advanceIf you want to experience a trip with Kisaq,
its important to book well in ad-
vance as there is a great demand for tours. Anders is almost
always avail- able by phone, as he has a satellite phone onboard.
otherwise you can send an email that they answer when in port.
The route is coordinated with An-ders and it is obviously a
major factor in pricing the trip.
You never go hungry with ellen in the kitchen. It is delicious
classic food, and it provides excellent energy for those mountain
hikes.

- Jeg ser p muligheder, siger Angu.I deres lille butik i

og the fra mrkerne Becking Kaffe fra Tyskland og parana Caff fra
Italien.
Alt i butikken har Angu og Naasu prvesmagt p de forskellige
fabrikker og kaffehuse. parret har nemlig selv
rejst rundt i verden for at besge nogle nje udvalgte kaffe
risterier. Turen gik b.la. til Tyskland, Italien, Schweiz og
Island.
- Vi valgte risterierne ud fra kriteri-er som kvalitet, god
rvarebehandling, viden samt erfaring.

Roskilde Universitet i Danmark, men fandt hurtigt ud af, at
det var noget andet, der trak i ham. p en tur til Uganda besgte
Angu nogle kaffefarme, og det var her det hele startede.
- Jeg kunne relatere til Grnland, da jeg var i Uganda, fortller
Angu.
- Hvis man har den rigtige viden, s kan man skabe gode produkter
overalt i verden.
Han startede derfor Nanoq Coffee i juli 2014. Men Angu drmmer
ikke bare om at slge kaffe i Grnland, men vil gerne selv riste
kaffe i Grn-land, s det bliver et grnlandsk pro-dukt, tilpasset
grnlandsk smag.
- jeg skal nok finde en vej. det er sjovt at skabe noget
selv.
Hyggelig butikDen lille butik, der bde fungerer som butik og
kontor, har bent alle hver-
dage fra 12-17 og lrdage 12-16. Her kan man kbe hele kaffebnner,
eller f dem friskmalede, og mangler man en gave til jul eller
reception er her mange muligheder, da butikken ogs slger udstyr til
kaffebrygning, kaffe-kvrne, chokolade bnner og bger om god
kaffe.
- Vi har en fast kundebase af perso-ner og virksomheder, som
handler hos os og det er vi meget taknemmelige for, fortller
Angu.
- Men der er jo altid plads til flere. Nanoq Coffee lavede
tidligere p
ret en kaffeundersgelse, hvor de havde 160 deltagere. Det viser
at inte-ressen for kaffe er stor i Grnland, s vi kommer nok til at
hre meget mere om Nanoq Coffee i fremtiden.

NQ Angu Kardels dream is to create something that can benefit
the future of Greenland.
- Im looking at opportunities, Angu says. In their small shop in
the entrepreneurial House behind Video-butikken, the shelves are
filled with delicious coffees and teas from brands like Becking
Coffee from Germany and parana Caff from Italy.
Angu and Naasu have sampled everything they sell at different
facto-
ries and coffee houses. The couple has traveled around the world
and visited some carefully selected coffee roasters. The trips were
for example to Ger-many, Italy, Switzerland and Iceland.
- We chose coffee based on criteria such as quality, good
commodity pro-cessing, knowledge and experience.
Coffee roastingAngu studied business management and informatics
at Roskilde University
in Denmark, but he quickly found out that it was something else
that was his passion. on a trip to Uganda Angu visited some coffee
farms, and this was where it all started.
- I could relate to Greenland when I was in Uganda, Angu
says.
- You can create good products wor-ldwide if you have the right
know- ledge. He therefore started Nanoq Cof-fee in july 2014. But
Angu dreams not just about selling coffee in Greenland, but would
like to begin roasting coffee, so it will be a Greenlandic product
with Greenlandic flavor.
- Ill find a way. Its fun to create something yourself.
Cosy shopThe small shop functions both as a store and office,
and is open weekdays
from 12-17 and Saturdays 12-16. Here you can buy whole coffee
beans, or have them freshly ground. The shop also sells equipment
for making coffee, coffee grinders, chocolate beans and books about
good coffee, if you are looking for a Christmas or business
present.
- We have a solid customer base of individuals and companies who
do business with us, and we are very grateful for that, Angu
says.
- But there is always room for more. Nanoq Coffee made earlier
this year a coffee study with 160 participants. It shows that the
interest for coffee is great in Greenland, so well probably hear
much more about Nanoq Coffee in the future.

nanoq Coffee is owned by the 34-year-old entrepreneur, angu
kardel and his wife, naasu mlgaard lennert. they operate a small
business, where they amongst other things sell quality coffee from
italy. but the dream is greater than that.
