Main challenges: The company struggled to recruit and retain good performers particularly in admin and account management roles. It had a great induction process and was committed to on-going training and development, but it had nothing to help with recruiting the right people beyond the skills and experience of the recruiting manager.

Overcoming the challenges: We introduced a system that compared the competencies of an individual directly with the competencies needed to perform a job role to a high level, thereby adding an objective element to, not replacing, the skills and experience of their managers.

What value was your role to them: We opened their eyes to a complete new way of handling their staff, both existing and new staff and are now working with them to increase the value of the assessment tool to them by developing bespoke competency profiles specifically for them and introducing a new way of supporting the annual staff review process; and all at a modest monthly cost.
