“A Biblical Walk Through the Mass” with Dr. Edward Sri and our own Father Jorge!

Thursdays, Oct. 21, Oct. 28, Nov. 4, Nov. 18 at 7:00-8:30 pm

The words, the gestures, and the rituals of the Mass are rich in meaning. Everything we say and do in the Liturgy is steeped in biblical language. A Biblical Walk Through the Mass explores the extraordinary biblical roots of the Liturgy and reveals what it all means and why it all matters.

Are you in your 20’s? Then come! Friday, October 15, 6:00-8:00 pm

Don’t miss our first gathering of our Twentysomethings Group, meeting at the rectory, which is next to the church at 665 Kelly Drive. In a casual, food-infused atmosphere, Father Jorge will discuss whatever you want to talk about, from what’s going on in the world to his record climbing Rifle Peak. Bring a friend, if you’d like.

Father Jim Sichko came. We played and prayed. He left.

Now what?

Fr. Jim’s radical trust in God led to many of his phenomenal encounters with people…almost as if a master choreographer were ensuring the right people crossed the right paths at the right time. Wait, there was such a designer! Fr. Jim’s stories illustrated how God’s hand becomes visible through us when we listen to him directing us.

If you’re wondering what’s next for you in your walk with God, let’s personally but together work on trusting Him by embracing opportunities to live Fr. Jim’s TRUST acronym.

T – Time. We learn to recognize God’s voice in our life when we spend time daily with Him. Read scripture, attend daily Mass one day a week, read a daily devotional. R – Relationship. Good relationships thrive on talking and listening. Silence invites God to speak to your heart. How about going to Adoration? Or leave the music or podcast off while driving or walking? U – Understanding. One way to increase your understanding of God is learning more about Jesus’s presence at Mass. Consider attending “A Walk Through the Mass,” starting Thursday, 10/21 (see this page, below). S – Surrender. “Let go and let God.” In your silence, perhaps consider where you need to do this. T – Try. Chances are God has put something on your heart to try. Try it. That’s all God asks of us.

Debbie welcomes feedback on Father Jim’s Parish Mission or anything else: [email protected].
