We ask that the congregation consider…

Just an hour of your time would make a huge difference. Please think about

helping either on:

October 11th for room set up October 12th for clean up assistance

committee is seeking a few more people to join our team.

Rummage Sale is…..THE BIGGEST FUNDRAISER OF THE SEASON!

Please help us… We NEED your support.

Many hands make light work.

One person = 20 hoursTwenty people = 1 hour

It’s simple math. If enough people will volunteer just one hour, beginning at 1:45pm on Saturday, October 12th, we

will be able to clean up everything within 60 minutes. This rummage sale is HUGE

Your donations to our rummage sale are appreciated. We have learned from past experiences NOT to include the items below in our sale inventory. Please call Diane M at 732-840-1935 to address unique donation offers.

Let’s talk Turkey!Wouldn’t it be great if every household in our community could celebrate Thanksgiving with plenty on their holiday table? The good news is that our pantry has been blessed with plenty to share this year! Our abundance is because of your generosity. So….thank you, St. Paul’s!Now, we need to locate those households that could use a little help. No one has to prove their need. It can all be kept confidential. Anyone is eligible! We simply want to find enough people who would want a Thanksgiving food basket. Our hope is that our food baskets will help ease the “demand$” of the season in some small way. Please ask around. Maybe a neighbor, some relatives, new parents, single parents… we just need to sign them up to get an estimate of how many baskets to make. These baskets will be ready for pick up on Monday, November 25th. Deliveries will also be possible. Please notify Sue Lindstrom at 732-903-4242 or [email protected] by Oct. 4th.

Christmas Store Items Needed! As part of the Christmas Store families are supplied with a toiletry kit. The following items are needed for the kits: Wrapped bars of soap, Tooth paste and new brushes (in packages), new Combs and brushes, deodorant, box of Band-Aids, hand sanitizer and baby powder, shampoo and lotion.

Please do not donate any type of medications (Tylenol, etc.) as we are not allowed to distribute these.

Thank you!

Maple Leaf Homework Club

The Maple Leaf Kids Homework Club is starting a new year on Tuesday, October 8, 2019. The children in the program live in a low income community and often lack the help needed from parents to succeed in school. Volunteers from several area churches help guide and tutor the children (grades 1-12) with their homework on Tuesday afternoons from 2:30-5:00pm at the Maple Leaf Clubhouse (by the pool at 255 Sawmill Rd). Volunteers can choose to help for one or more Tuesdays each month. If you are willing to serve the children of our nearby community or want to learn more about it, there will be two identical volunteer meetings on Tuesday, Sept 17th and 24th at the Maple Leaf Clubhouse (by the pool at 255 Sawmill Rd), from 7:00-8:00pm. For more information, please contact Tom O’Hearn at 732-581-6365.

Maple Leaf Children School Supplies

We are preparing for the new school year with supplies and a sponsorship program to help the children start off to a strong start for school. The children in the program live in a low income community and often lack the daily necessities that are needed to succeed in school.

If you are interested in sponsoring a Maple Leaf child or children in grades 1-12 of a local school with school supplies, see the list of items needed below which can be put in a box located in the Narthex.

Items needed: pencil cases, pens, pencils, erasers, crayons, colored pencils, washable markers, single notebooks, composition books, folders, binders, glue stick, small scissors, and loose leaf paper. Maybe a bible scripture.

If you have any questions, contact Hector Meza or Tom O’Hearn.
