MIU History
Misr International University (MIU) is an Egyptian private university whose programs are accredited by
the Ministry of Higher Education in Egypt. The university was established in 1996 in accordance with
the presidential decree No. 246. It is located in Greater Cairo and occupies 30 acres of land area.
MIU was established in answer to the growing demand in Egypt for quality education that is essential
to the new increased economic opportunities for multinational companies to operate and invest in
Egypt. As such, the university’s main objective is the pursuit of excellence to satisfy the above
demand.
Since graduating highly qualified persons is the university’s primary goal, part of MIU’s educational
philosophy is to seek international recognition for the degree programs offered. It is strongly
believed that establishing good relationships with worldwide reputable universities and concluding
collaboration agreements would help our University in achieving its goal and would provide our
students with better opportunities, additional exposure to different cultures, and diversity of academic
programs.
