MASSES FOR THE WEEK STEWARDSHIP OF TREASURE January 15, 2017 - 2nd Sunday in Ordinary Time
“Now the Lord has spoken who formed me as his servant from
the womb...” Isaiah 49:5 You have to do what God is calling
you to do and I have to do what God is calling me to
do. Guess what, each of has been given a different
plan! So, stop comparing yourself to others. Don’t let
envy and jealousy enter your life. Be thankful for the
gifts God has given you and generously share them with
others.

affairs of God on earth. Everything we have, time,

offering (weekly contributions) is a symbolic act. Our
money makes it possible for the Church to pay its bills
and carry out its mission in Christ’s name. Thank you
for your generosity.

EAGLE SCOUT PROJECT FOR
ST. MATTHEW’S KITCHEN COMPLETED! Our kitchen at St Matt's is a well used hub of ministry; it ranges
from the place where Faith Kitchen meals are cooked or Bridges
meals are bagged to a spot where coffee and refreshments can
be put together for our own community to come together in
celebration and fellowship. So it's in that spirit that Andy
Robinson (altar server and Social Committee member) has
completed the Kitchen Project. He has given it the TLC it needed
to be clean and more efficient by tiling, painting and putting more
shelves in the closet. Andy and some volunteers have put in the
"sweat equity," and they completed the project the week after
Christmas. Please stop in our newly refurbished kitchen to check
out the wonderful work Andy and his volunteers did.
