Dear Friends,
I am pleased to inform you that
Fr Juan Rosario has been assigned as Parochial Vicar
of our parish effective this past Monday. Fr Juan
worked with me at my previous parish many years
ago. He will be a wonderful addition to our team
here at St Barts.
We now have four priests living in the
rectory and six priests assisting at the weekend
masses. This is a great blessing. Beginning this
Saturday- 2 priests will be assigned to hear
confessions at 4 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. in the main
church. Over the past few weeks we have had to
turn people away because mass was ready to start
and the priest hearing confessions was
celebrating the mass. Now…. We will not have that
problem. But….please come on time for
confessions – 4 p.m. or 6:30 p.m.
Our parish does not close for the summer.
There are many daily activities planned for young
people and adults in order for all of us to grow in our
faith. Please take a look at activities planned and
join us when you are able.
This Wednesday I cordially invite you to our
annual mass and celebration to honor our nations’
independence. Mass will be celebrated in the
main church .

Queridos amigos,
Me complace informarles que el P. Juan
Rosario ha sido asignado como Vicario Parroquial de
nuestra parroquia a partir del lunes pasado. El P. Juan
trabajó conmigo en mi parroquia anterior hace muchos
años. Él será una adición maravillosa a nuestro equipo
aquí en St Barts.
Ahora tenemos cuatro sacerdotes viviendo en la
rectoría y seis sacerdotes asistiendo a las misas del fin
de semana. Esta es una gran bendición. A partir de
este sábado, 2 sacerdotes serán asignados para
escuchar confesiones a las 4 p.m. y 6:30 p.m. en la
iglesia principal. En las últimas semanas hemos tenido
que alejar a la gente porque la Misa estaba por
comenzar y el sacerdote que escuchaba las
confesiones iba celebrar la misa. Ahora….
No tendremos ese problema Pero...por favor llegue a
tiempo para los confesiones - 4 p.m. o 6:30 p.m.
Nuestra parroquia no cierra durante el verano.
Hay muchas actividades diarias planificadas para
jóvenes y adultos para que todos podamos crecer en
nuestra fe. Por favor, eche un vistazo a las actividades
planificadas y únase a nosotros cuando pueda.
Este miércoles los invito cordialmente a nuestra misa
y celebración anual para honrar la independencia
de nuestras naciones. La misa se celebrará en la
iglesia principal.

TUESDAY, JULY 10, 2018 AFTER THE 9AM MASS During the meeting we have the opportunity to pray, listen and share.
If you are not comfortable sharing…that’s ok! You can just come to pray and listen.
1. Family must be registered in the parish
and active (attending with envelopes every week)
for at least 3 months.
2. The child must be baptized, received first communion
and confirmation or in our faith formation program preparing
for confirmation. the child should be in our youth group,
an altar server of in the children’s choir.
3. Parents and child must make an appointment
with Deacon Daniel or Deacon Jose to discuss these
Requirements at least 3 months in advance
Sweet 16 will only be celebrated
in the chapel on Saturdays at 1pm

SUMMER VACATIONS / VACACIONES DE VERANO During the summer our Sunday mass attendance will go down since
many of our parishioners go away. We strongly encourage everyone to
look for a nearby church and check out their mass schedule – Sunday mass
is important. We wish everyone a safe and relaxing time away. As a
reminder… Saint Bartholomew Parish relies on your weekly contributions.
When you return from your vacation please remember to make up for the
Sundays you weren’t here in the collections. Thank you.

persons requesting those documents be
registered and be active members of
Saint Bartholomew Parish at least
three months prior to your request. We can not provide any of these
documents to people not registered
in the parish.

NEW CATECHISTS / NUEVOS CATEQUISTAS: This past week more than 30 people signed up to be catechists or assistants for this coming September. This is so encouraging! Please keep these new ministers in your prayers as they begin their Virtus and catechetical trainings over the next few weeks.

INDONESIAN MASS
On the 4th Sunday of every month mass is celebrated in
Indonesian at 3p.m. in the chapel(Ithaca St). Following
the mass there’s always a reception in Heafey Hall.
The next mass will be celebrated Sunday, July 22.
All are welcome to attend.
