Conducted Refresher Course on Civil
Registration Laws & Procedures
Civil Registration Month with the theme ― Ikaw at Ako Tungo sa Wastong Pagrerehistro‖, the regional office conducted Refresher Course on Civil Registration Laws and procedures with the LCRO staff as participants. A total of 49 MCR and LCRO staff came representing the LCROs of Occidental and Oriental Mindoro and Romblon.
The resource speakers invited were retired Regional Director Flordeliza J. Monteclaro and Mr. Sandy Sandigan of the Legal Services Department. RD Monteclaro discussed Issues and Concerns Affecting Legal Instruments while Mr. Sandigan discussed issues and concerns involving the petitions received by their office.
RD Monteclaro‘s presentation was based on the feedbacks on the returned endorsed documents on legitimation, supplemental and RA 9255. Once again, RD Monteclaro reiterated the stand of the office on the processed documents for legitimation that were returned due to impediment. All these processed documents on legitimation needed to be cancelled in court before they can proceed to RA 9255.

Presently, three LCROs have no MCRs due to retirement and the appointed OICs have not been approved by the CSC. These are the LCROs of Bulalacao and Victoria, Oriental Mindoro , and the LCRO of Mamburao, Occidental Mindoro.
On occasion like this, difficulties and dilemmas have been highlighted and discussed at length. Many of the present MCRs also shared their best practices and ideas on the raised issues.
