A different approach!

A workshop for:CEOs, Board Members, Physicians, hr personnel, Community Leaders and Economic Development Groups

I’m writing to invite you, your board chair, chief of staff and HR personnel to participate in a targeted workshop that is new and exciting for TORCH. We’re calling it Rural Recruitment Reimagined (RRR), and it will be held at the Baylor Club (inside new McLane Stadium) in Waco on Tuesday, October 30th. We’ve invited Benjamin Anderson – CEO of a CAH in Western Kansas – to share his story. After coming from a physician recruiting background, converting to rural healthcare leadership, and training in health transformation at Dartmouth, Benjamin has successfully recruited more than 15 mission-minded family practice physicians to a diverse and underserved region. We have become friends, and he has a remarkable story that will cause you to rethink your approach to workforce recruitment and retention. We’re also excited to have participation from Glen Robinson – CEO of Baylor Scott & White Hillcrest in Waco and another friend – along with several family practice residents from their program to discuss how they are training and what they look for in practice opportunities. We’re suggesting you bring a team because the learning will be interactive – presentations followed by discussion. Your thinking around recruitment will be challenged and stretched, and we hope to prompt productive conversations that lead to opportunity for rural medical communities across Texas. Lunch is included in the registration fee and we have secured a discounted hotel room block for Monday night, but space is limited to the first 200 registrations. We are also working to secure virtual connectivity for those of you who can’t make it to Waco but want to gather your team to participate. I assure you the content will be outstanding, so please make every effort to be with us on Oct. 30. And if this format drives value to our members the way I believe it will, we will look to provide similar content aimed at grant writing, fundraising, etc…

I’ll be looking forward to seeing you in Waco,John
