SPECIALIZATION IN MORAL THEOLOGY

The study of Moral Theology at the Pontifical urbaniana university is characterized by thefollowing special concerns: first of all, the sensitivity to the global dimension of the varioustopics covered, as required by an academic environment made up of students from over 100countries and from the five continents. To this end, the goal is to form the capacity fordiscernment that is necessary for the context described above. Furthermore, the sensitivity tothe inculturation of morality, as it is impossible to avoid studying the different moral traditionsof the students' countries of origin. Finally, missionary sensitivity, which accompanies the studyof morals and expresses itself concretely with particular attention to the ethical needs ofevangelization.
