Exhibition: Dislocación, Galery Gonzalez y Gonzales, Lima, 2015

Page 3: Portfolio (English)

Utopia, is a book-object with visual material collected in Paris 2014. This is part of a research about the access of citizens to art, based on ques-tioning the role that art has in education and society. The project parts on the premise that the school in France is the basis of quality and that public education provided equity and apparently equal opportunities for access to culture.

This analysis and reflection is a graphic record of the recognition of a new territory (still looking at himself ) and marks the journeys made on the location of the schools in the center of Paris and its suburbs, accompanied by notes of the history of art education in France.Part of the research in the Art Residency: Cite Internationale des Arts- Paris (2014)

In Peru, in the 90s, occurs a major curricular education reform that leaves out Arts Education, prioritizing cognitive areas. Educational reform primarily affects public schools, which currently goes through a quality crisis, because students are not achieving the expected learning. In Peru the ones who attend public schools are the poorest. So students of public schools are not in the possibility to receive Art, as part of their education, there is a lack of materials and also teachers from this area o artist that can work developing skills in students.

This project is a journey through the history of art education since the 70s, based on testimonies, objects, in-terviews and textbooks. The analysis of these inputs are part of an investigation about the learning of art in schools, and its contribution to the understanding of the social assessment of the currently existing art.

¿Emergentes? (Artists Collective)Exposition: Metro Privado* (2013)

In a society that has just emerged from an internal conflict, sometimes-public space is a place in dispute. The city grew, and grew, without an urban development plan. So much so, the objective of the authorities is always, to prioritize buildings, cementing the city before considering a contribution to public space.

¿Emergentes? (Artists Collective), proposes a series of artistic interventions that seek interaction with citizens. We work in these areas: the existence and use of recrea-tion and the street as a common and collective space.

Lima is one of the cities with the lowest per capita green area 2.9 m2 on average. Districts like San Juan Lurigancho and Breña have less than1m2 of green area per person. In spite of this situation this small areas are likely to be privatized according to the logic of development.

“A green meter”, is an art intervention, that plays with the possibility of privatization of public space as the green areas are. The operation was performed in the district of Breña.

The mechanism of the “machine” is activated by a handle, inserted in the top drawer, and can only achieve its goal using the viewer.

This project aims to create a space for questioning educational investment in Peru by the state, using characteristic elements of the basic education system, such as wood folders and texts. It also refers to the content that often taught in some schools, which are received increasingly mechanically and without question.

This machine reproduces texts concerning educational invest-ment by the state, which is printed as continuously and endlessly. At the same time displayed on a small screen, assembled into wooden folders. These texts were written by specialists in educational issues, emphasiz-ing spending, generated in education versus quality and results obtained
