Introduction• In this project generating electrical power by
running train on the railway track• Non-conventional energy using railway track needs
no fuel input power to generate the output in the form of Electrical power
• Using Faraday's Law of Electromagnetism • The system carries train model, rail model, coils,
charge controller, battery and inverter control• Its so simple this project is implemented to all
railway track.

Working
• Train have magnet • At bottom of track 2 pairs of coils• Movement of train on track induces emf • Voltages at the end of coils• This is ac use rectifier to convert to dc by Rectifier• Store that dc voltages in battery • Protect the battery from overcharging by charge controller • Inverter is used to convert 12V dc to 220V ac

Mechanical Part
Train Model: Has Magnet at bottom of
inches diameter and width of inches
Track Model: Track is of metal and wood
with diameter of feet. Has 2 pairs of coils. Each coil
made up of wire of 42swg on 1.5 inch diameter rod with 500 turns

• The output of coils is ac • Rectifier converts the ac to dc• Diodes used are 1N4001• 1000uF Capacitor for filtering• Output is given to battery

Controller Unit
• Charge Controller is used for the battery protection
• When the battery is fully charged • Relay is used of 12 volt which is controlling
the battery from overflowing• Have positive series LM7809 regulator,
diode and capacitor.

Sun Switch• Sun Switch is used to save the light at day
time example street lights • In project it is used to control the track
lights • When sunlight hit the sensor the light turn
OFF automatically otherwise the lights remain ON
• LDR sensor, 5volt relay, 50K variable resistor and LM7805 regulator etc

Inverter Module
• It has 3 main things
a) Pulse Generatorb) Drive Transistor Modulec) 12V to 220V Step-up Transformer

Pulse Generator• Pulse generator is use to generate pulses of
50Hz• It is essential to drive the drive transistor
module• It has CD4047 IC which is the main part of
this Generator• Different dimensions are as shown in next
slides

Drive Transistor Module• It used as a switch for the step up
transformer• Its input is in pulses of 50Hz and its output
is used for 12Vto 220V Step-up Transformer

At high level if it should be planted it can cover the electricity consumption of the railway tracks and stations.
By the generation we can provide electricity to areas nearby the railway tracks
