What Do You Think About People Walking' Through Fire?The question was asked me by a Hindu businessman whoame to my room at the hotel. At the end of the interviewe prayed together, and he said that he believed in Jesus,nd that God had forgiven his sins. He came to our meetingsnd really rejoiced.We saw a great number of Hindus walking on live coalshere they had burned seven tons of wood. Is There a Purgatory?Some say there is a purgatory; some say not. I'dwait and take that risk.

Those who believe in purgatory have three slim pointstheir argument.They say that Paul prayed for Onesiphorus to find mercyfter he died (II Tim. 1 :16)_-I don't find in this verse thatnesiphorus was dead at this time. I don't think Paul wasraying here. I think Paul was merely stating that Godould be merciful to him as He is to all people. I don't seeat Onesiphorus was a sinner who needed to be "purified"purgatory. Of course, if he was dead he will, like allaints, find mercy at the judgment. That is a slim chancen which to base such a thing as your eternal life.N ext, those who argue in favor of purgatory say that theaints of long ago taught purgatory. I doubt that. I willdmit that a few people did, as few people do today. Theyant to comfort themselves because they are in sin. Youan't prove anything by leaving the Bible and going to tra-ition. Jesus says the tradition of the elders has made theord of God of none effect in your life (Matt. 15; Mark 7).Some say that the fire mentioned in I Corinthians 3: 13-15eans the fire of purgatory. In reading that passage ofcripture again you will see that the words foundation, gold,

ilver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble, and fire are sym-ols. This is not speaking of natural fire no more than its speaking of real hay. We are tried in this life as golds tried in the fire, (Mal. 3 :2). When we are tried we shallome forth as gold (Job 23: 10; I Peter 1:7; Rev. 3: 18),AT THE JUDGMENT WE SHALL BE JUDGED AC-ORDING TO OUR WORKS. It is whether they be goodr bad. The fire mentioned in I Corinthians 3 is not literalire. The Word of God is compared to fire (Jer.23 :29)_,Our

od is a consuming fire (Deut. 4 : 24)..You can well see how,t the judgment, our works shall be measured by God'sord. Only the works which are as pure as gold or silverhall stand. We shall be tried "as by fire" (ICor. 3:15);;very man shall be judged "according to his works" (Rev.:12) ..NO SINNER HAS ETERNAL LIFE ABIDING IN HIM.

-----Did Peter's Shadow Heal People?

Usually when we are in a healing service, under thenointing of the Holy Spirit, there is a circle all around us,here the power of God is present to heal. Sometimes theircle is smaller. Sometimes larger. Sometimes the circle be-omes so large that the people are healed in the audience.I have seen the circle become so large that people whoere sitting in their cars, in the shadow of the tent, wereealed. Do you think the shadow of the tent healed anyone?Jesus was teaching the Word in one place. The power ofod was present to heal. That is where God is present toeal; where we are teaching the true Word of God. The peo-le let a man down through the roof of the house. The manas let down in the circle. No one had to pray for him. Hebeyed Jesus, took up his bed and walked. ( Mark 2: 12)
