The following Graphic Standard Guidelines is a comprehensive resourcefor anyone designing, printing or producing communication materials forPlug Power Inc.

With your assistance, we can ensure that all communications from ourorganization are integrated and consistent — making each individualcomponent, and our marketing efforts as a whole, stronger, aligned andmore effective.

As architects of modern hydrogen and fuel cell technology,Plug Power continues to lead commercialization by identifying realmarkets, fostering key partnerships and manufacturing products thatbring value to customers. At Plug Power, we manufacture Today’s FuelCells for proven, reliable power.

In 2014, Plug Power successfully launched the GenKey solution to customersin North America. GenKey is Plug Power’s all-inclusive platform thatoffers GenDrive or ReliOn fuel cell power units, GenFuel hydrogen andfueling infrastructure, and GenCare aftermarket service and support.

Plug Power adopted the positioning statement “POWERAhead” to influenceits leadership stance not only as a hydrogen fuel cell manufacturer,but as a power solutions provider. COLOR PALETTE PRIMARY COLOR PALETTE

Plug Power’s standard logo consists of PMS 301 (from the Pantone® ColorFormula Guide) and black. Therefore, these two colors create the primarycolor palette. PMS 301 and black should be used on all corporate materials(both whenever possible), including letterhead, business cards, envelopes,and pocket folders. Shades of these two colors can be incorporated withindesigns as well (but not within the logo).

The secondary palette contains additional colors that compliments theprimary colors. These color can be used in shades or at 100 percent.

GENERAL LOGO USAGE

BASIC LOGO RULES (REFERS TO BOTH THE CORPORATE AND PRODUCT LOGOS)

1. Do not reconstruct the logo or any of its elements.

2. Do not alter the proportions of the logo. Each element has been preciselyarranged and is to be kept to the same size and proportion.

3. Always allow ample white space around all four sides of the logo.

4. Never use the logos within text.

5. The Plug Power logo and the GenDrive logos should always contain the“®” symbol.

6. The GenKey, GenFuel, GenCare and ReliOn logos should alwayscontain the “™” symbol.

7. Screening or shading of logos is NOT permitted.

PLUG POWER LOGO USAGE:CORPORATE LOGO

There are two versions of the Plug Power corporate logo: Version 1 –standard logo” and Version 2 – “simplified logo”. Within both versions,there are five color variations (ie: PMS or process). These variations existto support a variety of production and display mediums.

VERSION 1: STANDARD LOGO

The standard Plug Power logo was designed with a black outline thatframes the type and graphic elements. It is not recommended to use thislogo version for applications less than 1" OR in other applications such as,knock-outs, silk screening or embroidery.

Plug Power has developed the following three graphic elements that can beused in a variety of ways to enhance many collateral materials:

POWERAHEAD

If used within text, the phrase POWERAhead must always appear as oneword with “POWER” in caps Trade Gothic Bold and “Ahead” in Trade GothicOblique. If incorporated as a graphic element, the phrase can be used asall caps, first-letter caps or stacked.

SWOOSHES

The following are some examples of swooshes that can be used within design.The swooshes are symbolic of forward movement, energy and moderntechnology. Swooshes can be used large or small, but not within text. Theycan be used as outlines, contain transparency, house photography or simplyadd a small callout to some text. Limited alteration of each swoosh ispermitted with final design approval.

STOCK PHOTOGRAPHY

Plug Power uses the diamond plate texture as an element for the GenDrivebrand to represent its rugged, tough and reliable product. The diamondplate can be used on GenDrive materials as a primary graphic, or washed-out background graphic.

QR CODE

A QR code has been created to be used on printed collateral, tradeshowbooth panels, and any other marketing materials that may be enhanced by it.

System CodesThis QR code is called a System Code. It will never expire and the landingpage can be edited as many times as you would like. Typically, the landingpage of this QR code should go to the company website, a product servicemanual or any other source of information that may be too large to hand outin hardcopy format. This tends to be information that would benefit theconsumer and the company by having the ability to be accessed quickly,or that is not available in a hardcopy format.

*Once this code is placed on a printed piece it is there forever. Keep in mindthat when editing the QR code landing page, everyone who has a printedpiece with the code on it will be able to view the new landing page.

Static CodesThis is a Static QR Code and the landing page can NOT be edited. Wheneverthis code is used it will go to www.plugpower.com. Use this code if planningto use more than one QR code in a marketing piece. That way, this code willgo to the Company Web site and the System Code can be edited accordingyour preferences.

class-3 rider pallet jack — primarily used to select and transport goodswithin large distribution centers before delivery to retail stores.

DC — abbreviation for “distribution center”. Must be spelled out fully forfirst time use, then DC thereafter. Example: distribution center (DC)

electric lift truck — refers to three classes of lift trucks used primarily forindoor material handling operations. “Lift truck” is two words.

greenfield site — this is not a common industry term and should not beused stand-alone on first mention. The “g” should not be capitalized.

high-throughput operations— facilities which move large quantities of goodsin multiple shifts. Experiences high cycle site. Hyphen used.

hydrogen refueling—the action of refilling the GenDrive with hydrogen fuelas a means of providing energy to the lift truck. Can be performed by theoperator in as little as 60 seconds.

large distribution centers — sites typically operated by food distributionand mass merchandise companies. Typically, these distribution centers are250,000 to 2,000,000 square feet in size, run two to three shifts per day,up to 363 days per year.

lead-acid battery— incumbent power source used in electric lift truck fleets.

lithium-ion battery — advanced battery technology used inside GenDrivefor improved power management of the product suite. Hyphen used.

material handling industry — the overall market that includes distribution,manufacturing, and warehousing, as well as the supply chain and third partylogistics that provide support. Material handling market also is acceptable.

motive power market — estimated USD 1.5 billion submarket of materialhandling in which lead acid batteries have been the incumbent technology.

multi-distribution center — term used to describe a customer who hastransitioned several facilities within their company to a GenDrive-poweredlift truck fleet.

registered symbol — in text, use ® in superscript format on first mentionin printed piece. (Please note that in logo files the ® is also superscript.)

runtime — used to describe the amount of in-application time (calculatedin hours) GenDrive products are operating in the field. “Runtime” is one word.



GenFuel refers to Plug Power’s hydrogen fueling suite of products. TheGenFuel reach extends into hydrogen molecule supply, delivery, dispensingand storage.

bar — metric unit of pressure used to measure the operating and fuelingpressure of the GenFuel dispenser and GenDrive fuel cell units. This metric isused within documents such as spec sheet.

dewatering hose — component of GenFuel dispenser that removes waterfrom the fuel cell unit. No hyphen is used in “dewatering”.

fueling nozzle — standard nozzle on the GenFuel dispenser allowing theoperator to refuel their vehicle

H2 — abbreviation for “hydrogen”. Should be written with a capital “H”and subscript “2”.

bulk refueling — refers to a GenFuel model wherein a gas truck visitsindividual stationary power locations in order to refuel hydrogen cylinderson site. Similar to a diesel gas model for generators.

Hydrogen Storage Module (HSM)—a large cabinet of hydrogen cylinders usedto store gas for stationary customers. Always spelled out this way on the firstmention then HSM thereafter.

packaged gas — refers to a GenFuel model used by stationary customerswherein empty hydrogen cylinders are physically exchanged for full cylinders.

reformer (also called Fuel Processor) — refers to a GenFuel model used bystationary customers wherein hydrogen is extracted from a hydrogen-richmolecule (methanol-water, etc.) by means of a “mini-refinery” located ateach customer site.

electrolyzer — refers to a GenFuel model used by stationary customerswherein hydrogen is extracted from water using electricity and a membranesimilar to a fuel cell membrane.

ReliOn refers to Plug Power’s fuel cell product line used for stationarypower applications in markets such as telecommunications, railroad andutility communications.

stationary power industry — the overall market for fuel cells that areinstalled in one location for their service life. Examples: telecommu-nications base stations, railroad crossing gates and utility signalingand control (SCADA) equipment.



GenCare refers to Plug Power’s aftermarket service and support of theGenDrive, ReliOn and GenFuel products.

uptime — the amount of time a Plug Power-powered product is availablefor operation by the customer

preventative maintenance (PM) — service offered through GenCare toensure maximum uptime of fuel cell and hydrogen systems. Always spelledout this way on the first mention, then PM thereafter."
