PRAXIS CORE REBOOT CAMP SESSIONS 1 2 OVERVIEW TIMES LOCATION The Praxis Core Reboot Camp is intended to help prepare participants who either enrolled in the Praxis Core Boot Camp and struggled with one or more of the 3 part post-assessment OR who have taken the Praxis Core exam prior but were met with challenges preventing them from being successful. The Reboot Camp consists of two Saturdays that are divided into three 1 ½ hour sessions that focus individually on each of the sub-tests (see schedule below). Participants can register for 1, 2 or 3 content area sessions. Participants should register online through the College of Education’s Praxis Lab website. Register today because seats are limited to the first 25 registrants. James Hall Computer Lab: 2108 Session 1: 8:00 - 9:30 Session 2: 10:00 - 11:30 Session 3: 1:00 - 2:30 Saturday Saturday PRAXIS REBOOT CAMP DATES Oct. 21st & 28th Session 1: Reading Reboot In this session participants will learn strategies in compre- hension, identifying inferences, grammar and vocabulary. Session 2: Writing Reboot In this session participants will learn 5-part essay writing, extensive strategies in grammar, vocabulary and APA citations. Session 3: Math Reboot In this session participants will strengthen their under- standing of math formulas and math process. Each session will require participants to take a practice test in one or more of the content areas they registered. Scores will be provided with study guides that can be used as participants prepare for their official test. $45 pays for registration and textbook. Participants who participated in the Praxis Core Boot Camp should bring their post-assessment results. Participants who have taken the Praxis Core exam should bring their ETS results. All participants will be required to bring a 3-subject notebook, pencil and eraser. Participants must also bring Rowan identification to verify registration. nd st
