2. Setup Timetable for Morning Registration Classes
2.1 Download Sample Data File:2.1.1 Go to website https://stsb.diskstation.me:5001/webman/index.cgi2.1.2 Log in as User ID: user40-user49, Password: moe2@!42.1.3 Navigate to iNEIS -> iNEIS Training > C5 Timetabling > School Data > Common Material
2.1.4 Double check to download file TT_YEAR_Sample_File.psv and save to desktop2.1.5 Rename file name as ‘TT_YEAR_(Your School code)_(Your school name)_(Acad career).psv’
e.g. TT_YEAR_1071_ SR Muda Hashim _Primary.psvThis will be become the school timetable file used in further steps.Note: Primary school should create 2 files for acad career ‘Pre-school’ and ‘Primary’.
2.1.6 Open the file in Excel2.1.7 In excel, select first column. Then click on Data > text to column.
2.1.8 In wizard window, select file type = ‘delimited’ and click ‘next’
2.1.9 Check ‘Other’ option, key in ‘|’ (pipe) as delimiter, and click ‘Next’
2.1.10 Select all columns and specify data format as ‘Text’.
2.1.11 Click ‘Finish’. Data will be arranged in columns.

2.4 Assign Classes to Timetable2.4.1 Open files:
School subject list: MOE_TT_INT_SUB_(Your school code).xls School Timetable: TT_YEAR_(Your School code)_(Your school name)_(Acad career).psv’ (e.g. TT_YEAR_1071_ SR Muda Hashim _Primary.psv)
2.4.2 In school subject list, look for the ‘subject name’ column where value begins with ‘YEAR’ (you can sort the subjects if needed)
2.4.3 In school subject list file, copy ‘subject name’ and ‘government code’, and paste to school timetable ‘subject name’ and ‘subject code’ column.
2.4.5 In timetable template file, specify homegroups in ‘class name’ and ‘class code’ columns. Homegroup means the morning registration classes in your school. Please note the class name and class code should follow progression template.You can add or delete rows in the template file if needed.
2.5 Assign Classrooms (Facilities) to Timetable2.5.1 Open files:
School facility list: MOE_TT_INT_FAC_(Your school code).xls School Timetable: TT_YEAR_(Your School code)_(Your school name)_(Acad career).psv’ (e.g. TT_YEAR_1071_ SR Muda Hashim _Primary.psv)
2.5.2 In school facility list file, look for the rooms to be assigned to each homegroup.2.5.3 Assign classroom to each homegroup:
In school facility list file, copy ‘Description’ and ‘Facility ID’, and paste to timetable template ‘Facility Name’ and ‘facility code’ column for each subject and class code.
2.6 Assign Class Teachers to Timetable2.6.1 Open files:
School teacher list: MOE_TT_INT_TCH_(Your school code).xls School Timetable: TT_YEAR_(Your School code)_(Your school name)_(Acad career).psv’ (e.g. TT_YEAR_1071_ SR Muda Hashim _Primary.psv)
2.6.2 In school teacher list file, look for the class teachers to be assigned to each homegroup.2.6.3 Assign class teachers to each homegroups:
In school teacher list file, copy ‘teacher name’ and ‘employee ID’, and paste to timetable template ‘Teacher Name’ and ‘teacher code’ column.
2.7 Assign Class Date/Time 2.7.1 In school timetable file, specify the day of week when the morning registration classes will be
conducted. If class is on, specify as ‘Y’. Otherwise specify ‘N’.
2.7.2 In timetable template file, specify the start and time of each morning registration class. Format
is HH:MM (24 hours).
2.7.3 Save timetable template file as comma delimited format (.csv).
2.7.4 Change file extension to .psv
3. Upload Timetable3.1 Login to iNEIS URL: http://10.96.121.92:10080/psp/CSPRD/EMPLOYEE/HRMS/?cmd=login using your
user ID & password.3.2 Navigate to Curriculum management > Schedule of classes > Upload class schedule
3.3 Click ‘Add a new value’ tab
3.4 Specify run control ID, and click on ‘Add’Recommended naming convension: (school_code)_(acad career)_(term)_(session)_(2 digit running number). E.g. 1071_PRIM_1510_T1_01
3.5 Specify required fields. Values can be selected by clicking on the magnifying glasses.
3.6 Upload data file prepared in previous steps.
3.7 Click on ‘run’ button
3.8 Click on ‘OK’ in confirmation page
3.9 In run control page, click ‘process monitor’ link
3.10 Click on ‘refresh’ button for a few times until process status changes to ‘Success’, and distribution status changes to ‘Posted’
3.11 Click on ‘details’ link
3.12 Click on ‘view log/trace’ link
3.13 Click on the file with extension ‘.log’
3.14 The log file shows all successfully uploaded schedule, as well as error rows in upload file.
4. Assign School Registrar Access to Attendance RosterThe process will assign school registrar and school HEP teachers as class primary instructors, so that they can view and update class attendance. Subject teachers will be assigned as class subject teachers to have view only access to class attendance.
4.1 Navigate to Curriculum management > Schedule of classes > Assign Extra Instructors – All.
4.2 Click ‘Add a new value’ tab
4.3 Specify run control ID, and click on ‘Add’Recommended naming convension: (school_code)_(acad career)_(term)_(session)_(2 digit running number). E.g. 1071_PRIM_1510_T1_01
4.4 Specify required fields. Values can be selected by clicking on the magnifying glasses.
4.5 Check ‘Assign all classes’. Click ‘OK’ in the prompt message.
4.6 Click on ‘run’ button
4.7 Click on ‘OK’ in confirmation page
4.8 In run control page, click ‘process monitor’ link
4.9 Click on ‘refresh’ button for a few times until process status changes to ‘Success’, and distribution status changes to ‘Posted’
4.10 Click on ‘details’ link
4.11 Click on ‘view log/trace’ link
4.12 Click on the file with extension ‘.log’
4.13 The log file shows the class instructors before and after the assignment, as well as error rows in upload file.
5. Verify Class Schedule5.1 Navigate to Navigate to Curriculum management > Schedule of classes > Maintain Schedule of
Classes
5.2 Specify search criteria and click ‘Search’Term = ‘1510’, subject area = ‘YEAR’, campus = (Your school code)
5.3 Click on one class in search results
5.4 In basic date page, verify if the class section matches class code in school timetable file
5.5 Navigate to ‘meetings’ tab
5.6 Verify if class facility, date/time matches school timetable file. You may click on ‘view all’ if there is more than one row under the same class code in school timetable file.
5.7 Click on ‘view all’ in ‘instructors for meeting pattern’ section. Class teacher, school registrar & school HEP teacher (primary instructor) and subject.
