1956 Kellogg builds the first Crude oil-based liquid Ethylene cracking facility In Europe.

1997 Brown & Root starts construction of the automated People Mover system, which connects terminals at Houston’s Bush Intercontinental Airport.

Highlights:
• KBR will lead the installation of Particulate Matter Control
Systems on all four units
• Each system will include:
– Pulse-jet fabric filter to capture particulate matter
– Powdered Activated Carbon injection system to capture
mercury
– Lime injection system to protect the pulse-jet fabric filter
from the corrosive effects of sulfuric acid mist

Location: West Palm Beach, FL
Scope: EPC
Contract Value: $450 Million
Completion Date: February 2015
Highlights:
• New facility will include three boiler and air pollution control
trains to process in excess of one million tons of municipal
solid waste per year and generate enough electricity to
power 56,000 homes
• Plant processes 3,000 tons of municipal solid waste per day
and generates 95 MW of power
• Includes metals recovery system to maximize the recycle of
aluminum, steel and other metals

in 2007; first unit complete in 2008, and final unit complete in

• Upgrades of four 8000/4500 hp ID fans
