Top Banner Layout
The layout of my magazine has come along way from my original designs that I had, the first idea I had now looks more like a newspaper than a magazine, the finished cover is very appealing and follows the needs of the target audience and the genre. The cover is designed as well to meet the route of the eye so more people will look at it and it will seem easier to reed.

Top Banner Colour
The colour of my magazine isn’t one on which I can really comment on, the original colour design where placed on a sheet, they said that they main colour would be red black and white and this is what ive carried over to my cover.

Top Banner Fonts
The fonts that I have used compared to the original design are very good, the represent the genre a lot better then the first ones and they show a level of development in my taste of fonts, the fonts have been made so that they aren't all the same as each other. The colour of the fonts sticks to the red, white and black scheme and the sans serif theme goes throughout the magazine.
Pictures and Mise-en-secen
The image that I had selected for my preliminary task are a lot less developed and though about than my final design. First off I though that I needed to add an instrument into the picture to make it more conventional to then genre, second of all the personal in the picture are different, I found that the second picture looked better with a different more conventional person. The final picture is a mid shot with a level angle to the people.
Mise-en-scene has improved dramatically improved, there is no indication of setting on the first photo, where as in the second photo there has been a massive improvement in the scene, props and costume.

Layout
The layout for the contents page ahs changed dramatically from when I first designed it, the structure that I had before was completely against the convention and style of the typical magazine and therefore further changes had to made, the page was split into two, the top banner was for an image and some images of what was inside the magazine and the bottom half was for the menu of context and editors message.

Colour
The colour that I was going to use for this was going to be red and white, obviously the black is a major part of the page and has been used a lot because it is so effective to appealing to an audience.

FontsThe fonts that I have used are a lot more complex to the ones which I was going to use, the fonts are a lot more conventional to the genre which I am aiming at and the way I have used them is a lot better, they are placed in more suitable positions for the reader and follow the eye line a lot better making it a lot more easy to read. Where as the first contents page is messy and all over the place, the eye line isn’t very good and you have to look harder to find things.
Picture and mise-en-scene
The picture which I was originally going to use wasn’t that bad compared to the one which I am using now as it is conventional in a number of ways but the mise-en-scene is very different in the way which in the second image he has a guitar and is wearing clothes which are conventional. The first picture could have been used but I would have had to edit it like the second picture but I didn’t see it being as good as the second one.
Layout
The layout for my magazine is very similar to the one which I made the first time round, the picture is where I said it was going to be and the text is as well, there wasn’t much change for this page apart from the kicker which had to be “kicked” into a different position. The pull quote remains the same and the main title is in the same place as well.
Colour
For the colour of this one I said that it was going to be red, black and yellow, I have changed it to fit the conventional red, white and black, my finished one is very simple and basic so I can relate it more to the first design, the colour goes well and doesn’t over complicate the page making it easier to look at.
Fonts
The fonts that have been used for the double page spread are some what similar, the main text part is very similar as I said that it would be a simple design for this part as it had to be easy to read. The other parts though I had to change due to the house style of the magazine that I created when making this, I didn’t put page numbers in at all at the start and then I have as I needed it to so it would fit with the contents page.
Pictures and Mice-en-scene
For This part of the magazine I decided that I would only use two people for the double page spread as it seemed to work better than three for editing purposes and other reasons such as space. The second photo encourages the use of mice-en-scene a lot better than the first one as it is more conventional with the clothes, the angle adds a good effect and the facial expressions are a lot better.
