RESTORATION SECTION THE GUARDIANS OF QATAR HERITAGE

The “Spring and Wells Map” shows the registered heritage springs and wells of Qatar

with location and photos. This map records the history of one of the most important

water resources in Qatar used for drinking and agriculture. We would like to take

the chance to encourage Qataris to help protecting and preserving them.

The “Heritage Mosques Map” shows the registered heritage mosques in Qatar

with location and photos. This map shows the daily mosques and Fridays

mosques. We would like to teach, educate Qataris about their Heritage and

encourage them help us protecting and preserving them.

of Qatar. In addition,

other major heritage

restoration projects will be discussed in this conference.

The conference under the title "Revival of the Old Palace" will focus on two broad

themes:

1) Pre-contract "diagnosis

and analysis phase"

2 ) E m e r g e n c y

conservation plan and the

full restoration and

rehabilitation plan.

We wish to launch this

conference under the patronage of HE Sheikha Al Mayassa Bint Hamad Al Thani

visits, regional trees from Qatar will be planted to enrich the environment of the

landscaping around the Barzan towers.

Team has started the

d o c u m e n t a t i o n

p r o c e s s o f

“Ashmeem” heritage

village in the area of

“Rawdat Rashid” -

a l m o s t 3 5 k m

southwest of Doha. Despite a registered heritage mosque and some springs

in Rawdat Rashed, the village of “Ashmeem” has not yet been fully recorded.
