QU-AX has been building unicycles for many years - we have put all of our experience in the „luxus“ - making it a fully developed, well-thought-out product.

The luxus-series is available in all common wheel-sizes and in several frame and tire colours - which you can choose from at your local dealer.

Besides fi rst class materials and ergonomic aspects which we have taken much care of, QU-AX luxus unicycles come with

a second, shorter seatpost. This way, Daddy does not have to shorten the seatpost when you start unicycling. In the beginning, use the 200 mm seatpost (assembled).

Later, when this one will be too small, simply take the 350 mm version which comes with your QU-AX luxus, too.

That way - you do not need to have to buy a second, new seatpost.

And in case something should really break one day, we have all spareparts for our unicycles in stock - no

matter whether you need a bumper, a saddle, a tire etc.

The day you want to start making tricks, you will like the fl atcrown-fork and the tough handle

which allows you to do lots of freestyle-tricks.

On a unicycle, the saddle is even more important than on a bicycle. Since it is more an instrument of control and you spend more time on the saddle when riding a unicycle than on a bike. QU-AX luxus unicycles come with a cushion made of several layers - not simple PU-foam. Comfort is important both for you and us.

Changeable bumpers, an integrated handle in the front and massive nuts fi xing the bumpers are some more important advantages of this saddle. Also, the lower side of the saddle is very “fi nger-friendly”.

Our smallest unis (12”, 16”, 18“) come with smaller, children’s saddles - made for their special ergonomic needs.

Which unicycle can I ride?If you are wondering what wheel-size of unicycle you might be able to ride, the following table might help you. It is based on QU-AX unicycles equipped as shown in this catalogue. The minimum inside leg sizes shown assume that the shorter seatpost has already been fi tted.

Measuring your inside leg:The inside leg is measured from the fl oor (incl. shoes) up to your crotch. The QU-AX-luxus-series come with two seatposts: a short and a longer one - so Daddy need not shorten the genuine seatpost.

Balance-TrainerA Balance-Trainer is something between a unicycle and a kickboard and helps you learning to ride a unicycle. It is driven by chain propulsion. At the front a parallelogram with inliner-wheels makes it easy to change direction by shifting your body. Braking is really easy, too - just pedal backwards! The unicycle saddle with handle adds extra safety. Recommended maximum rider-weight: 60 kg. Perfect for children from 6-12 years of age.

Individual and comfortableThe saddle of a unicycle has to be robust and comfortable, especially on longer distances. But you can also customize your unicycle by choosing an individual saddle-colour and / or pattern. Muni- and Crosssaddles have a higher cushion.

For smaller unicycles like 12“ or 16“ it is important to have a saddle which is adapted to this size to fi t the needs of the children riding them.

Depending on what you are using your unicycle for, you should choose a crank length adapted to this fi eld of use: Whilst Freestylers use to ride rather short cranks, long distance-riders prefer longer ones. QU-AX provides a bunch of different lengths for various fi elds of use.

There are two different types of axles: taper square (40 mm bearings) and ISIS (42 mm bearings) which have different axle-forms. ISIS is a standard which was established by the bicycle industry. Thanks to their ten-splined axle, forces coming from the cranks are better transfered to the axle which leads to more durabilty.

Simple steel-cranks are for beginners and price-conscious riders. Aluminium cranks are light, 7050 alloy is extremely solid and lightweight at the same time, pedal inserts are good for aggressive riding.

Of course we can provide tubes for each of our unicycles, well knowing that these are sometimes really rare sizes - even for bicycle-dealers. Sizes, which you cannot buy in a shop just around the corner.

We also offer a special edition Magura HS-33-brake which is not just a simple bicycle-brake: their hose-length was specially customized to fi t municycles with tires up to 3,00“ of width. This means no hose-shortening and purging needs to be done: buy it and mount it - that‘s it.

The Q-Axle hubs & cranks are the next evolution step after the ISIS axle. It is technique that has been used in the cycle industry since 2002: The axle has a 24mm diameter instead of the ISIS-typical 22mm and is more hollow which makes it lighter (the bigger diameter allows a thinner wall). The cranks are no longer tightened as much on the axle as possible - but precisely positioned by an aluminium cap and then fi xed by tightening 2 allen-key screws on the crank. The crank-connection has less wear and is more resistant to frequent assembly/dissassembly. Also, just like from tapersquare to ISIS, the connection-surface that transfers the pedaling-power is bigger.

Thanks to the more hollow-drilled axle, already the hub is more than 130g lighter than its ISIS-predecessor. It also makes the axle stiffer. As the bearings still keep the same outer-diameter, the hubs are compatible with all ISIS-ready-frames.

At fi rst glance, a unicycle looks pretty much the same as a bike. This has something to do with their mutual history - both have their origins in the Penny-farthing.

But though both have lots of things in common, you will still need some „special-tools“ for your unicycle. Since we consider ourselves to be unicycle-specialists, we would also like to provide you with the right tools for your unicycle. Either for at home (toolbox) and for on the road (handytool).
