real media products?

A teaser trailer, or just teaser, is a short trailer used to advertise an upcoming film, television program, video game, or product.. (google definition)

My film trailer is being used to advertise a Comedy, Drama but it is not giving the plot to the story away and the actors face reminds shadowed and herd to be able to see. I did this to give it a more comical element. Different genres of movies use different techniques in there trailers to advertise there film. Different text, music, lighting, noise is used to create different moods/atmosphere

Research in to Trailers.

For my research I focused mainly on three trailers, Alife 1966, Alife 2004 and East is East. I looked into the two Alfie Trailers because even though they are both about the same thing, the trailers are very different... And with the East is East trailer I looked at this because it had the same type of character as it does in Alfie, they are perceived at ‘Ladies men’ .

I also looked into Pirates of the Caribbean scene where Jack Sparrow was being slapped, these scenes added more comical effects to the trailer. But because of me wanting to keep the actors face shadowed/hidden it was hard to find the right angle of shot to put in the trailer.

TECHNIQUES Sound –•I used the backing track from the early Alfie movie to indicate to the audience that its going to be the same type of comedy so that they can relate back to it. •I also used voice over's to make the trailer flow and for it to make more sense.•In the Rihanna concert is used the song that she was singing in the extra long shot and sped it up to indicate that he was in fact on cocaine (or Charlie) the name of the film Charlie referrers to cocaine because it is another name that it can be called.

TECHNIQUES I used lost of still frames a titles to indicate that it was a comedy...

This is one of the techniques that can be seen in the early Alfie movie. Using titles to advertise that your film has one an award will compel the audience to want to see it more .
