REFLECTION ON THE PRELIM TASK

What Went Well

Overall I am pleased with how the Prelim task went as we accomplished the original rules set, which were to achieve a 180 degree rule, match on action and a shot reverse shot. All of these were achieved within our prelim as we carefully planned what was to happen within the opening and carefully planned how and when we would do it.

What Could Have Gone BetterUsing the camera at first was tricky and this resulted in us wasting time in attempts to work it. Eventually we resolved this problem. Also some shots had to be retaken in absence of space on the cameras memory. Not only this but we had difficulty as well establishing each shot and had to go back to re film our Match on Action.

Conclusion

The Prelim task was a great task for us to get a idea of how to use the camera and Tripod, not only this but it allowed to be creative and use our imaginations and our initiatives to come up with different ways of creating narrative and also certain camera angles that I did not know of before.
