Nathalia Primary School Conquers Maryborough On Thursday, November 19th, Nathalia Primary School went to Maryborough to compete in the RACV Energy Breakthrough Push Cart Section. We arrived at Maryborough at midday, we had to then register our team and receive our wristbands so that we could race. We happened to be one of the first groups to be assessed in the Design and Construction section. We blitzed it and We answered all of the questions as a team. We then had the push cart checked by an administrator. By the time we had done all this it was about time to get a good nights sleep. The first event when we got up was the Endurance Race. It was fun and we recorded the record for the new track, because they have changed to a new track - The Holden Track. The next event saw Aiden, Cody, Charli and Daniel tackle the Obstacle Course. We did not hit one cone at all and got a good time. Daniel was the only one to get up on two wheels. For the rest of the night until 7.00 we were waiting for the news. They were looking for some bright coloured uniforms. Some were interviewed and we all sang our song. The next day we were in the Sprint, just about to win and the seat belt got jammed, someone overtook us. Because Archie chose pink for our uniform we were chosen to go into the Celebrity Race. We ended up winning the first heat, then the final. All the work paid off with the Pink Panthers winning the track events. Archie & Aiden - Grade 6R.
