This is Asia’s biggest and most popular regatta, and includes a week of parties and festivities along with spectacular sailing. Fresh Seafood in the Heart of Patong at Catch & Grill

Looking for a place to celebrate the last night of 2014? If the bright lights and bustling nightlife of Phuket is what you’re craving – then head straight to Patong. Guests can choose to sit near the road to take in the lively scenery of Patong, or opt for a table at the far corner of the restaurant for a bit of quiet intimacy. The restaurant is neither spacious nor tiny. It’s airy with a warm and welcoming atmosphere featuring subtle lighting across humble solid-wood furnishings.

The New Zealand imported mussels have an aroma that boosts your appetite along with a graceful texture that gives the ultimate gastronomic pleasure.

The restaurant’s salmon steak is also highly recommended. The fish is flavourfully seasoned and served with mashed potatoes – a delicious combination. There are also plenty of other fresh seafood options on the menu; oysters, crabs and prawns are all sure to fulfil your island fine dining expectations. Of course, succulent steaks and other meats are also available.

While dining at Catch & Grill, don’t miss out their award-winning cocktail “Phuket Triple S”, derived from “Sea, Sun and Sand” – the pride of Phuket. The blue cocktail matches the colour of the island’s tropical waters.

After a mouth-watering seafood meal, indulge your sweet tooth with tiramisu. The traditional Italian dessert will gently please your senses with its presentation, gentle coffee aroma and incredible bittersweet flavours.

Phromthep Cape Restaurant is an ideal place to experience Phuket’s local specialities along with one of the best sunset views on the island.

Phromthep Cape is one of Phuket’s most scenic spots and has long been well-known as a prime location for viewing the sunset. Enjoy a spectacular moment at the cape with palm trees in silhouette, a red sunset and a tropical breeze – and then walk to Phromthep Cape Restaurant, just a few metres away, to discover authentic Thai cuisine. The restaurant is an excellent place to take in the view along with a delicious meal.

After the sun has set, the cosy night with sparkling city lights takes over along with cooler weather and more diners in the restaurant. If you arrive early, it shouldn’t be difficult to find a good table for the panorama as the restaurant is laid out well to offer optimal viewing pleasure with a peaceful and friendly atmosphere. There are over 30 tables with seating capacity for 200 guests.

Phromthep Cape Restaurant provides a long list of seafood, Thai favourites, as well as an array

of local specialities at a reasonable price. It places an emphasis on serving fresh seafood, including fish, lobster, prawns, squid, crab and much more. The Thai-style hors d’oeuvres are an excellent way to begin your culinary adventure.

Recommended seafood dishes include Steamed Sea Bass with Lemon Sauce (Pla Kra Pong Neung Ma Nao). The soft fresh sea bass is flavoured with Thai herbs and spices, and is suitable for newcomers to Thai-style hot dishes as well as those who love spicy foods.

Another recommended fish dish that is good for families with children is Deep-Fried Sea Bass with Fish Sauce (Pla Ga Pong Tod Nam Pla). This deep-fried whole fish is also very popular among locals. Its crunchy crust goes well with the tasty and flavourful hot-sweet-sour sauce.

In addition to those dishes, the seafood platter is simply the best selection if you want to sample various kinds of seafood.

Try some of the all-time favourites of visitors such as Grilled Prawn Chilli Paste (Nam Prik Goong Siab), Steamed Curried Fish (Hor Mok Pla), and Stir-Fried Shrimp with Tamarind Sauce (Goong Pad Nam Makham).

Phromthep Cape Restaurant is located on the right when walking up the stairs from the parking lot of the viewpoint. It is also open for lunch as well as dinner; and operating hours are from 11am to 10pm. For the high season, especially during peak periods such as New Year’s Eve, advance reservations are recommended for the best tables.
