OPENING SESSIONThe Main Event - We Are the Music Makers and Dreamers of DreamsThe Main Event has it all…it is a college pep rally, motivational keynote, high-energy videos, interactive contests, improv comedy, and the award-winning College and Career Road Show game show The College Feud.
The students will have opportunities to win giveaways, interact with other participants, and engage with current college students. The entire Main Event is built to create a college going culture for high school students and assure success at the collegiate and professional level.
CONCURRENT SESSIONSParadigm Shift Leadership Development - 6th-9th GradeIt is not just enough for young students to learn the technical skills necessary to transition into high school and college, they must also learn how to develop their social and leadership skills. The Paradigm Shift team will walk the students through a fun and interactive session that will help them learn how to interact with others, discover their strengths, and set SMART goals.
Each student will walk away from the Paradigm Shift Leadership Development session with a sense of personal responsibility, a step-by-step plan on how to succeed in high school, and a better understanding of their leadership strengths.
MasteryPrep ACT Boot Camp - 10th-12th GradeThe ACT® Boot Camp is a highly engaging and helpful student workshop. In this session, stu-dents learn exactly what they need to feel prepared for test day. Students will learn about pac-ing guidelines, test-taking strategies, and content tips and tricks to ace the test.In our pilot, over 99% of students attending this program said they felt it would help them im-prove their standardized test scores, and they wanted us to come back for another workshop!
Business Leadership Panel - College Tract 1The Business Leadership Panel is a highly interactive session led by area business leaders. The panel participants are from all sectors of the professional world - financial, educational, STEM, manufacturing, and service businesses.
The panelists will talk about the latest trends in hiring, tips for career success, and personal insights on how to make a difference as a professional. Attendees will be able to ask questions to the panelists throughout the session.
Resumé and Interviewing 101 - College Tract 2 We want to put you in a position to get the interview and then get the job. The Resumé and Interviewing 101 session will help students put together a stellar resumé, stand out amongst their peers, and finally get the interview.
Our group of interviewing experts will host an interactive session that highlights the skills needed to ace an interview and leave an impression. We will also discuss the five proven steps needed to reach your career goals.
CLOSING KEYNOTE & SCHOLARSHIP WINNER The College & Career Road Show always ends with a bang. This inspirational session challeng-es the participants to change their preconceived thoughts and push through past setbacks. Each participant will also be entered to win a generous scholarship from the local business leaders and community sponsors.
CAREER FAIRThe Career Fair will provide a forum for students and employers to meet and talk informally about full-time, part-time, volunteer, and internship opportunities with over 100 local and na-tional businesses, employers, graduate schools, hiring agencies, and corporations.
COLLEGE & GRADUATE SCHOOL FAIRThe College and Graduate Fair will allow students to interact with admission representatives from a wide range of postsecondary institutions to discuss course offerings, admission and fi-nancial aid requirements, college life in general, and other information pertinent to the college selection process.
A college fair is a good time to expand your knowledge about colleges and/or careers, in gen-eral. The representatives of the various institutions come from a variety of experiences and backgrounds, and they will be very pleased to answer any questions you have.
Take advantage of the opportunity to meet employers who want to talk to you about their occupations and employment opportunities. Gather information on career options, develop a network of contacts, identify job openings, or secure an interview.
PARADIGM SHIFTParadigm Shift offers leadership training and development with a primary focus to create opportunities for leaders to lead intentionally. They have led trainings and workshops in almost all 50 states and on three continents.

This vision is that of Antonio Robinson, William Curry and Raymond Cabrera. Through workshops, trainings, and conferences we hope to bring attention to this important topic.
