Can I See Your Library Card?

If you have been in the library lately, you may have been asked to see your library card when checking

out materials or using the computers. Please do not be offended if you are a regular patron known by

our clerks and have been using the library for many years. It is the Library’s policy (bylaw #5030) for

a patron to present their library card when checking out materials. In addition, patrons must show a

valid library card or ID before gaining access to a computer. For the protection of the Library and

patrons, this policy is now being followed for all patrons.

A FEW OF OUR NEW DVD’S

Don’t Know What to Read Next? Try…

I Am Malala: The Girl Who Stood Up for Education and Was Shot By the Taliban

By Malala Yousafzai

On October 9, 2012, 15-year-old Malala Yousafzai was shot on her way to school.

Before firing, the Taliban-connected shooter had asked, “Who is Malala?” I Am

Malala is this teen’s response to those who tried to silence her voice and end her fight

for female education. While some reviewers had wished for Malala to wait and write

with a more mature voice, I found that it was exactly Malala’s young voice that

makes this such a compelling read.
